Dadkashi timeline Y/N loses a limb due to Kakashi's own negligence in the field. I'm assuming it would absolutely wreak him, right? Especially after Naruto leaves for three years and Sasuke leaves the village. Can you write something around this? If its too sad that is fine. I just kinda want Kakashi to suffer. Also do you think he would be even sadder due to Y/N forgiving him? They love him so much and know he didn't want it to happen.
Ignoring the yandere time split that I'm sure y'all have given up on waiting for tHAT I SWEAR IS COMING PLEASE FORGIVE ME
Be wary travelers, ahead lay horrors of the mind and flesh
~|~|~
I'm guessing you remember what happened to him when you were kidnapped, yeah?
It's like that but uh
Worse
It was during a horrible battle
Over time, your training together and his fierceness for being with you to cope with his guilt and depression lead to the both of you turning into the top tag team in Konoha
Your ability to work together and off of each other is amazing, and even Tsunade can't deny that it would be beneficial to submit to Kakashi's pleads once and for all
The two of you were sent on a mission to take down a band of S-Rank rouge's that had been deemed too dangerous to arrest after many failed attempts
It had all gone so well
You had found their camp, tailed after them as they traveled, and were even able to learn some of their battle tactics and strategies
Albeit from a fair distance to avoid being seen
Training with Kakashi and his dogs helped you hide your chakra and to avoid being spotted during a stake out
At your request, he allowed you to train with Hinata to perfect it
After you had agreed that it was time to show yourselves, you both jumped into a fight with them and were able to take out the first two with some lethal sneak attacks
The problem with S-Rank nin is that they are skilled and aren't afraid to kill an enemy
They've honed their jutsu and fighting skills to be deadly and precise
Any brutality is just an added bonus that some prefer
It had occurred to you that something was rather strange, rouges never usually travelled in groups this big
Even gangs and organizations only sent two or three members at a time during missions
It became clear who they were after most of them had been taken down
Their gross fascination with the corpses on the ground, more specifically the blood, showed them to be some obscure blood cult
A group of nobodies who crossed paths and recognized each other's blood lust
They had all trained together and perfected their strategies for shedding as much blood as physically possible before their target died
Naturally, Kakashi was worried
You had never fought against anyone quite this brutal, but he was confident in your skills
He had been the one to train you after all, if this battle went badly for you, the blame was all on him
~|~
It was easy for Kakashi and you to dodge the enemy attacks. They used large blades and your Sharingan eyes allowed you to dodge their attacks easily. For all you knew, these were nothing more than some overly enthusiastic murderers who were too unstable for their villages. And for the most part, that was true.
However, there was one ninja that seemed to be hanging back from the rest of the group. He was watching you and Kakashi very carefully, almost, analysing the two of you. He was clearly the smartest one of the group, and it was proven when he covered his hands with his long sleeves.
He knew how the Sharingan worked.
When you turned to warn Kakashi, you were suddenly bombarded with clones. This man was too smart, you couldn't predict the attacks of the clones and the only thing you could count on, was the hope that you were even slightly stronger than him.
When Kakashi defeated his final opponent, he was confused to see you struggling with your opponent. He looked for the origin of the clones and quickly saw the problem. You couldn't see his hands.
When the nin saw that Kakashi was able to fight him, he sent his clones after the bigger threat. No matter how competent someone may be, everyone had at least heard of Kakashi and his immense skill. This left you to deal with a one-on-one.
He knew you couldn't counter his moves very accurately, so all he had to do was send a barrage of attacks to confuse and overwhelm you. Unsurprisingly, it worked exactly how he hoped. You had no idea what to do. He mumbled his attacks and hid his hands so you had no idea how he was going to attack, he was skilled beyond your years- sending attack after attack without stopping.
This wasn't going to end good. You were tired after having fought a small army of men and women twice your age and older. He still had all of his energy and chakra because he left the fighting to everyone else. One small mistake on your part could end everything.
His earth style jutsus kept you moving back, the landslides that loomed like tsunamis kept you on the ground, and the fact that all of his previous attacks came from the front meant you never got the chance to look behind you. A small earth wall was all it took to have you on your back.
And with that, he made his final move. He slammed down a mountain of rock on your legs, encased them, and squeezed.
The grin never left his face.
Not when your legs finally snapped after a minute or two of unbearable pressure, not when your agonising screams and sobs of pain echoed through every living creatures chest, not when, after releasing his clones, he got his heart ripped out by Kakashi.
Even in death, this man relished in your blood.
Kakashi had never moved faster. With as much strength as he could muster, he dug through the rocks. He used jutsus, taijutsu, his dog summons, anything that could help. He needed to get you out of there.
You had long passed out by the time you were "safe". The mangled strings that were once legs lay limp on the ground, shards of shattered bone fragments jut out everywhere. While the bleeding had slowed down, you were still at severe risk.
Kakashi raised your lower body, tightly wrapped your upper thighs in bandage tape, and prayed. This was the last thing he wanted to do.
As much as he didn't want to see this, he needed to be precise. To keep himself from backing down and risking further damage, he had to constantly remind himself that Tsunade was an amazing healer and could fix the sloppy job he was about to do.
He took his blade and
~|~
After having to cauterize your legs
Kakashi wrapped your legs, put you on his back, and ran home quicker than he had ever gone before
The journey home took over twice as long as it should have
But anyone who could have complained would have been killed if not beaten brutally by Kakashi
All he cared about was you
When he got to Konoha
He yelled to get Tsunade to the hospital immediately and ran there himself
Having never seen such urgency from him before, anyone who heard, complied
When Tsunade saw a herd of worried faces all telling her to go to the hospital, she had no idea what to expect
When she saw Kakashi being torn away from a hospital room, she knew something had gone horribly wrong
She told him to wait for her outside the room, gently reassuring him that she would never try to keep him away from you for no good reason, and set to work
~|~
Kakashi was racked with guilt. Ever breath he took, every movement, every thought.
If he had been watching
If he had checked on you
If he was faster
If he was stronger
This was all his fault.
He had took away your dream, your goal to become the greatest ninja in the world.
He had stollen that from you.
Not only has he failed as a teacher, he failed you as a father. He was supposed to protect you from anything that could hurt you, yet there you were, getting life saving surgery to fight an infection, severe blood loss, and the loss of both of your legs.
The only reason you would ever want to see him again was to help you with the things you could never do again. You would despise him, detest him with all of your being. How could he ever be a part of your life again, after what he had done to you.
~
To say he was surprised when you forgave him is an understatement
Kakashi never could have dreamed that you would ever even want to look at him again
But not only did you forgive him
But you apologized for scaring him???
And said that you loved him??????
The man is broken
Be prepared to spend your hospital days and first few out months keeping at least a hand on him
Kakashi doesn't want to lose any more
He has to know that you're real and here and alive
I don't think he'll ever stop crying
After this
To the shock of a lot of people
Kakashi retires
The man who had lost his father
His teacher and his wife
His only childhood friends
His students
Finally broken.
This obviously tears away from the story but who cares
Not him
Or me
But to be fair
Tsunade and quite literally everyone else who had heard what had happened and saw how he reacted last time was scared he would take a new mission and kill himself
Tsunade insisted on paying for rent and groceries
Kakashi's and your friends help her and with any comfort of life expenses
When Naruto gets back he feels betrayed that kakashi had retired before he could teach him anything
But another pummeling from the whole ninja population of Konoha and a glance at how broken Kakashi looks whenever he looks at your lap finally get the message across
Life will never be the same for any of you
But rest assured that Kakashi will always be there to comfort you during your bad days and to hold you when the trauma kicks in
He will love and support you until the end of time
Please don't ever think he won't.
God-Emperor rest your soul, “retired” scoundrel Gabranth Strathmill.

Black Bird, Black Bird
She was afraid of the Felhunter. The puppy, she'd taken to calling it, was faithful - Greedhun, it called itself. But it lived up to part of it's name, greed and gluttony were part and parcel of the demon and Ilithia would call upon it rarely - it was however begrudgingly she's admit useful, faithful.Hungry.Strand of the Ancients, and the battle for its Titan Relic was heating up - Wintergrasp had seen the brunt of action in a controlled environment - even on the Lich King's lands, the Horde and Alliance fought. Even off the coast of Northrend, somewhere off...She didn't have much time to look over the map before the boisterous dwarf slapped her back, causing it to fly away, a raucous laugh, "Ye won't be needin' that, lass! We're gonna take the thing and get us a Mage portal back to Dalaran before the tea's cold!"The battle had been more violent than expected. Horde, without a restraint of agreement of "sportsmanship" had fought hard, had cut many Alliance down, and Ilithia hustled, her breathing hard and heart pounding in her chest, clutching the Seaforium explosive pack against her chest as she jumped behind a wooden log, sweat sticking hair to her forehead, tears running down her cheeks freely. Sniffling loudly, using one sleeve to wipe away the mess on her face, she stopped, looking up towards the shadow falling over her - the Orc towered, raising his knives in each hand to bring down on her laying limp on the ground. She shut her eyes, a cry escaping her lips, "NO!" The orc's guttural howl turns angry. Her eyes open - the Felhunter wrapping it's coiling tendrils around the Orc's arm, sinking too too many teeth into green skin, red blood staining the ground, raining upon the girl's robes, face, hair.Pulling herself to her feet, she watched Greedhun turn its head from side to side, wrenching and wringing, teeth sinking deeper and tendrils wrapping about the orc. Ilithia took a moment to draw her sword, plunging the tip of it into the monstrous being's back, pulling it back, dragging it slowly from the Orc, putting one slippered foot against leather armor and pushing while she pulled the sword hilt out, finally stumbling away with blade in hand, clutching the Seaforium in arm, turning and running up the hill towards the barricaded wall, where the Alliance fighting had grown more intensely, red splatter wicking off of her clothes as she moved.----As the battle had settled - for now - Ilithia walked through the field back to the Orc she had felled. The Felhunter had laid, contented, and Ilithia struggled to keep what field ration she had managed to eat in her mouth, turning away, snapping to call the demon to her."Leave that for the black birds, Greedy. The Horde might want him back, too..."
