Hey! Idk if you have already, I just found ur blog because a mutual reblogged it, but do u wanna go into what gorebull is about/themes? I loved your comic, it really spoke to me in some odd way, but I feel like I'm missing something to understand what it actually means. Also I love hearing artists talk about their work and tte details in it.

heres some development work so this feels like a more artistic post before i start talking
this is gonna be so speratic im SORRY but you asked.. also sorry for any typos . i. am me.
GOREBULL is essentially a day in the life of a deeply unhappy man. it follows his time online, punctuated by events in his real life, and how they converge.
he spends his time watching videos of people getting hurt or killed. this is a subculture of the internet a lot have stumbled into. shock sites and all they contain really. ie. gore. gore.. gorebull. wait..
george (gorebull) has a server (called "deathjournal refugees" - they met on another site) in which he and his online friends share gore. usually via reddit posts. the subreddit being called r/NotDeathJournal2, as in, r/NotDeathJournal got banned. as did r/DeathJournal.
so thats what he does. also he drinks a lot. hes just this guy who lives with his dad outside some nowhere town in scotland. the only irl social interaction he has is shopping. well he did used to go to pubs.
hes actually part of a larger story im writing so you havent seen the last of him. i promise he gets normal-ish
so on this awesome day in the life of george, a friend in his server posts a link to a video of him getting punched outside of a pub while drunk and crying. no one in the server knows its him, besides Birdo. birdo is a highschool friend of george. birdo is also shown to be someone who doesnt like the #death part of of death journal refugees. birdo "only likes public freakouts" and so stays in #nodeath.
birdo immidiately messages george about the video. george explains what happened - i mean you can read the message exchange. george got punched by some guy they both knew in highschool to be a prick.(side note i am probably going to do a comic about that day/event. more stuff happens in it. its fun. well its miserable for george but fun for me)
and um. yeah. its just pretty embarrassing and awful for george, and he probably knows he deserves it. he mocks his hairline and says he should kill himself. then he plays minecraft.
and um thats gorebull LOL. but also:
random stuff i also wanna explain/mention
the "bull gore" video is basically just to sestablish his username and place in the server. i guess hes the "bull gore" guy. people sends him bull vids. he guesses if the person died or not. whatever. later, we see the bull gore video from another angle. the guy fated to die is in a pose similar to george's in his own video. but this guys at least got people around him. handheld cam. georges video is a ring camera video. it was only found on the owners files because the sign for the pub "hunter's rest" had one of its letters stolen, and the owners had asked if the across the street neighbours had footage. neighbour finds the video funny, probably posts it on facebook, where its found by whoever the hell finds those vids in the first place to post on reddit.
george throws that one bottle outside the bottle banks because he wants to see it smash, and he hates this town.
a vehicle crash happens near georges town. thats why the fire engine drove by georges house when he was smoking cigarette 2. during cigarette 1, something drove by really fast. it was probably a motorbike, considering what it prompted george to bring up in his server. motorbike crashes. people drive too fast on country roads sometimes.
george is reminded of a specific gore video while hes in an ice biome in minecraft. he pictures the body on the ice. in the final page, hes taken the body's hat and dragged it into the water. sufficed to say that didnt actually happen in minecraft or real life. i actually dont know if i can explain this bit lol. does that make me a hack.
