For each “⭐️” I get, I’ll write a headcanon about our muses.

1. They are terrible when paired together. From neither having an impulse control to complete recklessness and everything between, there’s no such thing as ‘ we probably shouldn’t ‘ when it comes to bad ideas. Ofc, there may be some second thinking, throwing ideas back and forth, teasingly one-upping each other in terms of horrible ideas and so on and so forth. Examples of such are as follows: 

gathering demons and making them trail after Dante so he can slaughter them all @ once instead of, you know, killing them off one by one

that one time they took the van for a ride through the city and tested its limits

turns out it can take it pretty well running several demons over before even showing signs of wear

also destroying cracked walls

and jumping off not quite but close enough ramps

it was wild

attempting to improve Osiris / Aquila and Eryx / Arbiter which backfires horribly due to their angelic / demonic nature

turns out that Rebellion can’t be improved either as it serves as base for said angelic / demonic weapons

however Ebony / Ivory, Revenant and Kablooey have better results

also that one time Dante tried to access the demon world despite not being able to w/o either Kat’s help or being dragged there by a demon itself

it flops spectacularly

@ least they have a good laugh over it

and Dante gets to describe how odd it feels bc it’s either Limbo City but filled w/ demons or peaceful sky zone w/ floating rocks everywhere

2. Not so much of a HC but more of a what-if but Dante living in Nico’s van bc he has nowhere to go. He’s lived long enough in a trailer, he can make do just fine w/ something smaller as well. Good thing that he can sleep in any position bc anybody knows that sleeping on a chair / sitting ain’t the most comfortable. He appreciates the thought a lot even if sometimes he nearly gets a heart attack whenever he wakes up in the middle of the night just to be greeted by the latest catch staring at him from a glass jar on the opposite wall. It’s unnerving, to say the least.

          He is caught RED HANDED, midway through a slurp of noodles. That doesn’t look suspicious at all now, does it? It totally DOESN’T look like a cat that was caught in the middle of a terrible act. A terrible act like trying to eat the family goldfish and almost getting away with it. The only difference between Nero and a cat right now is that he is eating something that holds no life within it. Just tasty, tasty goodness. 

          So, instead of trying to squirm and bolt his way out of this, Nero simply continues on his criminal act, sucking the rest of the noodles into his mouth, chewing and then even sipping some of the broth inside the cup. If the statement “no regrets” ever had a face, it would be THIS HUNTER RIGHT HERE. 

          ‘  I don’t see yer name written on it.  ’ Yeah, Nico, NEVER leave food unattended while he is around.

One would think that Nico knows better than to let Dante go through the stuff in her van. Yes, she’s specifically told him to not touch the stuff in the back lest he wants to get into trouble but then again when has he ever listened to anybody? C’mon, he has a straight up horrible record at doing as told. 

Of course that he makes a beeline for the back of the van once left to his own devices. 

Okay, honestly, she doesn’t even take a step away to get behind the steering wheel before he’s off. Stupid? Brave? Both considering his track record regarding recklessness and showing off. What can she do to him? Smack him upside-down the head for not heeding her word? It’ll be nothing compared to being thrown around, ran over several times by giant spiky flaming balls and everything else he’s faced thus far. 

Lo and behold, she’s quick to appear by his side once more, gently but firmly grabbing his hand before he can reach for the jar precariously balanced on one of the top shelves in what wants to be a mini kitchen. And away it goes, tugging his entire frame after her as she moves back to the front, lightly pushing the Devil Hunter into the passenger’s seat and motioning for him to put his seatbelt on. 

“ Oh, come on, I was gonna be careful with! Just. Give it a look. From all sides. “ definitely didn’t intend to shake it and see if it’s still alive. Demon parts have the.  .  .  interesting property of still being alive in questionable circumstances. And seriously! He could have sworn that he saw the eye blink! Twice even! “ You’ve gotta tell me at the very least where you got it from. Please don’t tell me it was in one of the pockets of my coat from last time. I just washed it. “

“ Well, I think you’re hot so who’s the real winner? “ he’s totally not trying to weasel out of paying her for his latest addition, nuh - huh. Totally not trying to change the subject and hope she doesn’t notice. Nope. Although, he did get her the materials for said improvements so it’s not like he didn’t do anything to help. 

A hand idly pats his coat’s pockets half to check if anything’s inside and half to see if he does indeed have some money on him. The conclusion comes a moment later via a hand coming back from the endless depths of a pocket holding.  .  .  “ .  .  .  two red orbs, five dollars, a mint gum and lint. ” and a shrug as he holds the items out for Nico to take “ All yours. ”

Rough, she accosts him the moment he comes up to her and starts rubbing the nearest thing against his face -- a semi-clean cloth. And rub she does, diligently cleaning all the blood and goo that still clings to him in one way or another. Vigorously at that too if the way she’s adamant to get it all off is any kind of clue. 

“ Ouch, careful there. “ mumbled halfheartedly when Nico runs over one of the many small cuts that litter his face. “ Don’t wanna bruise this pretty face, do you? “ and something that’s a hybrid between his smug grin and a pained scowl. Yeah, no, that’s definitely going to leave a mark when it heals.

         “that one. it said it was gonna kill you real good. get ‘em, get’ em!” she’s draped half-out the van window, cigarette dangling between fingers, the peanut gallery to dante’s battles. hey, mostly she’s hoping he’ll fetch back some pretty demon bits to dice into weaponry — self-interest is a great motivator — but dante’s magic to watch in a fight. shoulda brought popcorn. oof, there goes a demon! sails overhead with its organs streaming after it like a gory banner. nico cheers and lets the windscreen wipers smear the worst of it off the van.            dumbass demons. as if this guy could be downed by the likes of them. nico’s half-sure he’s immortal — impervious to impalement, anyway, a feat in itself! — but fully sure he’d refuse to let her test it. shame. she leans her cheek on a palm, gaze lazily following the flow of the fight.          “they all dead? ha! — hey, how’s that faust hat workin’ for ya?”

     >> 🔥 <<    IT’D BE A LIE TO STATE THAT    this wasn’t what the demon hunter lived for.  it always got his blood pumping and the amount of   EXCITED EXCLAMATIONS   that left the hybrid was a good show of it.  the amusement was still gleeful that   demons and devils   still believed they could one up and   KILL HIM   for good.  

being through the song and dance more times than he could count you’d think that there’d be talk to not even  TRY   to live a little longer.  with being   stuck   in the underworld for a time with his twin it was the same ordeal  ;  but having the time of his life holding his own with his brother by his side   . .   that was terrific.

he lets a laugh rip just as cavaliere revs to life,  ridding the space of its existence by crushing its head flat with the back wheel of the ‘cycle.  at the completion the impulse to rev up some more couldn’t be ignored,  doing so with one hand while the other danced the rim of the had in question.

1. On a number of occasions, he’s found out what different demon guts taste like. It was entirely accidental from being sprayed over by blood and other tidbits after killing them. Suffice to say, he’s thankful he has a strong stomach. 

2. He’s entertained the idea of actually getting his back tattooed so whenever he uses his powers, the tattoo fills in. Still something he’s considering. 

3. Pretty good DDR player. Can play medium songs perfectly and hard ones almost w/o sweating too much.
