i really love the idea that the best friend benrey was talking about in act 4 was actually forzen, but benrey got mixed up and thought it was gordon for some fuckin reason. so when forzen does find benrey in black mesa, he's so happy and excited to see him again and he's sorry he became a bootboy-- only thing is, benrey convinced himself that gordon was his old friend so hard he doesn't remember forzen at ALL. naturally this upsets forzen, n it's what prompts him to say "we WERE best friends >:'( " when interrogated

so pretty much all of benrey's attraction to gordon was misguided because he was thinking of his old buddy and all the fun times with him (and why he brushed off most of gordons comments or threats, bc rose tinted glasses for your good buddy u love very much, riiiight? its fiiiine)

benrey slowly realizes this post rescas, while he was being contained by g-man and when he popped back into the science team + forzen and darnold's lives. forzen is understandably still grumpy but he's warming back up to benrey; when benrey's talkin with gordon, it hits him.

"oh... oh it was forzen. forzens the best friend. oh man i got feelin's for forzen, dude. *looks at gordon* euuhh, i dont like you."

gordon is partially relieved bc thank god benreys gonna leave him alone with that stuff now but anothers like really man?? r-really, that fast? c'mon man that stings would it be that bad to be attracted to gordon.... ( the short answer is no, seeing as forzen has a bit of a crush on gordon himself, in addition to the one he has on benrey)

is forzen a cuddler? what are his cuddling conditions?

oh he's such a cuddler. but only to people he really likes n trusts. even if he likes ya, he has a hard time being cool with much other than a quick side hug or a pat on the shoulder/chest. most of the time he keeps his hands to himself, he's a lil nervous bout touching others, but the mans is touch starved, thats for sure.

now. if he likes you. you are lucky. and you WILL be swept up into his arms several times. gordon n benny are obviously the two subjected to it the most, but sometimes darnold or joshua, if he's in a good enough mood. he's hard to pry off. he loves to cuddle and hold hands and rest his head on those he feels safe n comfortable with. almost all that anxiety is gone, he's that open with cuddlin.

before making up with benrey and getting to know gordon, he was a huge pillow cuddler, cannot go to sleep without hugging something. he's very restless without something to hold, n he has nightmares a lot, generally speaking. but now? its a coin toss on whether or not he'll wrap around gordon or benrey, and they are Trapped. but he doesn't get nightmares nearly as much when he's with them, n he's surprisingly comfy, so its worth it

you probably haven't heard of gorzen but let me introduce a new deck of cards: frenreyzen. they own a pet houndeye named skittles. benrey and forzen regularly hold kissing contests to see how many smooches they can get from gordon before he catches on, but this time, skittles won.

skittles the houndeye is the same one from act 1 that gordon and the others left alone (55:13 + 56:14, act 1 full VOD). forzen found him when he was escaping the facility (he got VERY lost for a while, lots of teleportation) and felt bad for him, n decided to take him home. forzen burstin out of an explosion at black mesa with a giant alien ham-dog under his arm. he’s the one who named him “skittles” and he’s very proud of it. benrey thinks it’s cute as hell

once when gordon woke up, forzen sauntered up to him with benrey n went “hiiii, good morning kiss for us?” n he was like ok, smooched forzen, smooched benrey. nice. kisses. but forzen pouts n clears his throat. “you forgot someone.” gordon laughs n is like, dude if you want another kiss just say so, you don’t gotta be like that. but forzen stomps his foot all huffy “NO thats not what i meant!!” and he nods his head down, n gordon looks down n sees skittles. just. politely sitting there. he looks up n does a happy little chirp. gordon sighs n picks skittles up n gives him a widdle kissie on top of his head and forzen beams.

it then becomes a routine, but sometimes to mess with forzen, gordon will kiss benrey, kiss skittles, then just stare at forzen. sometimes completely deadpan, sometimes unable to stop himself from giggling as forzen gets whiny and benrey laughs. of course he eventually gives in, he just thinks forzen being a lil bit of a brat is cute. did i mention i think forzen’s a bit of a whiny brat. because he is. also joshua loves playing with skittles, skittles got trained so when he does his little sonic windups around him, it’s a playful little pulse that rumbles or rocks joshie around a bit, never hurts him

long; ok frogzen prince story idea; Prince gordon is prince that often plays in the palace garden near a well. He has a special favourite doll (named jashua), which he accidently knocks into the well itself. He's distraught, when a frog asks him what's wrong. So while he's surprised about the talking Frog, he tells the frog about joshua and how he lost it in the well. The frog offers to get Joshua back, but in return he needs gordon to promise to be his friend. Gordon hesitates before he agrees.
