One of the books that I wanted to read over this Summer was "How to Write a Children's Book." I became intrigued with other books on my long reading list, and sadly this book was set aside on my "must read," pile. Well today I went to @katherineschwarzenegger book signing and I purchased her latest book #maverickandme I started reading her book about pet adoptions and it totally reminded me of how I went to West LA Animal shelter almost 15 years ago and adopted my luvabull, adorabull, hugabull, pitbull, Indy!!! Indy and I had many great adventures. While reading Katherine's "Maverick and Me," I became compelled to start writing Indy's story. Today's book signing took place at the Annenberg PetSpace. Ironically, when Indy was a volunteer (animal assisted therapy dog) at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, her miracle story was the basis for a grant received from....you got it.... the Annenberg foundation. Shiggy, it's time to write the story. (My second book. First children's book.) It'll make you cry. Indy's Story makes me swell up, though, as they say, there can't be rainbows without rain. Tears of rain. Will start writing right meow!! Thank you Katherine for the inspiration. (And for telling me your favorite word!!) Fantastic book.
