Not entirely sure how I'm feeling about the backgrounds, but I think they're okay. I'm vv happy with this art style in general though.

Kindaichi recognized them the minute their eyes met his and their mouth opened in shock, lips forming an apology before the worst caught up. His cheek broke out in a deep flush as he stood there, coffee dripping off his hoodie and down his jeans in a most embarrassing way. They  didnt mind, or didn't notice, his flustered silence as they continued to ramble. He watched as Goshiki fished a napkin out of their pocket. Before he could even register their intent, their hand was swiping at the spilt coffee on his jeans.

He hopes Tsutomu has a similar problem, although he would never admit that, just the knowledge that he… does things for him, to him. That would be enough…

It's happened a few times now. They can't keep their hands off each other, can't keep their mouths off each other.

They've been this way for weeks, ending up completely ignoring whatever lame excuse for a film they'd put on just for this purpose. An excuse to cuddle that eventually devolved into making out. Although Yuutarou isn't quite sure of Tsutomu's boundaries, they haven't talked about it, it's heating up like ever.

Tsutomu's hand cards in Yuutarou's hair as he breaks for air, placing wet kisses along Tsutomu's jaw and neck as they both pant for breath. "Yuutarou," Tsutomu whispers, receiving only a hum in response. He grips his hair to hold him at his neck, tilting his head back, "Don't stop."

Because Yuutarou is cautious, he doesn't know how much Tsutomu wants him, how could he? Even now, Tsutomu doesn't quite know how to say it. He's this close to rocking his hips forward, straddling Yuutarou's lap and showing him exactly what he wants, exactly how much he wants him.

The sounds Yuutarou makes, the tiny noises strained in the back of his throat, drives Tsutomu wild. Even while Yuutarou is always embarrassed, he doesn't stop making them, and it only serves to make Tsutomu hotter knowing that if Yuutarou is this vocal now, then…

Yuutarou grips Tsutomu's hips, trailing kisses over his collarbone. Tsutomu's skin burns his lips, but he can't stop, Tsutomu doesn't want him to stop, either. The press of their bodies together isn't enough for how much Yuutarou aches for him, but he knows that the last slip of distance between them is there for a reason.

It stops him from losing his mind.

He’s spent the weekend on the other side of the country, traveled nine hours on the most uncomfortable bus he’s ever sat on, and that’s all he gets from his boyfriend. No kiss, no hug, not ‘Hi, welcome home, Yuutarou’ or ‘I missed you’. Not even ‘Maybe we could adopt a dog’.

“We need a dog,” he repeats when all Yuutarou does in response is blink at him from where he’s still standing by the genkan.

Goshiki proudly flung the door open, revealing his dorm. “Ta-Da!”

He’d cleaned up the night before, in a flurried panic, when Kindaichi had texted, asking if he wanted to do something together after school. 

The Seijoh team notoriously gave their players Mondays off but Goshiki had no such luxury, sadly relaying that information to his new boyfriend (of almost a month, Goshiki was giddy at the thought). 

Kindaichi, always sharp, had just suggested he’d come to visit Goshiki at school and the plans were made. 

He’d been there, of course, for the first year training camp but never to the dorms. Even during the camp, the students from other schools just slept in a spare classroom (Goshiki had never felt cooler in his life, getting to waltz to his own room). 

“This your humble abode?” Kindaichi asked, stepping in. 

“Mmhmm,” Goshiki hummed in affirmation, following Kindaichi inside and shutting the door behind them. “Sorry about the anime posters, Tendou-san put them up.”

“And you never took them down?” Kindaichi asked with a raised eyebrow and an amused lilt in his voice.

“I thought they looked kinda cool,” Goshiki replied, looking up at them. Kindaichi sighed, dumping his bag on the ground by the edge of the bed and sitting down on the mattress. 

“So what’s the plan for tonight?” he asked, leaning back. 

“Got a few ideas,” Goshiki said, voice trailing off and suddenly feeling extremely shy. He had a boy in his room. A boy who wasn’t a teammate; a boy who took him on dates and kissed him. “But...”

“But?” Kindaichi repeated.

“But we can just stay in...” a pause. Then, hastily, “If you want, that is!”

Kindaichi mulled it over for a second, not understanding at first. Goshiki could tell the second it hit him because Kindaichi’s face suddenly turned a bright pink which, in turn, made Goshiki’s cheeks burn. 

“I-I’m good with that,” Kindaichi stuttered out. 

Goshiki nodded, still feeling that hot embarassment edging at his nerves, as he sat down next to his boyfriend. 

Kindaichi made the first move, hooking his finger around Goshiki’s chin, pulling it towards him to connect their parted lips. Goshiki didn’t really know how to react; they’d only given pecks up until this point. He just puckered his lips and waited until he could get a feel for what he was supposed to do. 

It was nice, though, an undeniable fact. Being with Kindaichi would always be nice, no matter what they were doing. Whether it be spiking practice or walking through town or kissing, he enjoyed it. 

They kissed for awhile before they broke apart, a string of saliva still connecting their lips together before Kindaichi wiped it off with the back of his hand. 

“Wow,” he chortled. “You’re kind of a terrible kisser.” 

Goshiki didn’t know whether he was supposed to feel offended or not but he squeaked out a “sorry!”

“No, no,” Kindaichi said, quickly trying to remedy his words. “I...I am too. We can both be terrible kissers together.”

“Okay,” Goshiki said. He pressed his lips to Kindaichi’s once more. “Deal.”
