The Lannisters send their regards
🗡️
🩸
In that case, my husband and his war dragon will send his regards 😌
it's true that targ nation is very misogynistic towards alicent but i hate the comparisons with Sansa cause it's a false equivalence. the reverse goes cause Daenerys stans didn't even go there when stansas started viewing dany as the antagonist to their self-insert ship
That pretty much sums it up though??
I recently saw a post by someone I follow on twitter about this btw and Sansa stans having a chip on their shoulder (@anakintargaryensns I think?).
It's true that Sansa's treatment by the asoiaf fandom in general ranged from being unpopular/disliked to dudebros straight up having beef with a 14yo for... literally just being a 14yo. And it definitely could often get misogynistic.
But that had nothing to do with Dany stans?? Like, we didn't even go there. It was Sansa stans who started beefing with Dany out of nowhere because they shipped her with her brother for some reason and villainised Dany for getting in the way od their crackship. And it only got worse by D&D making Sansa into some bratty mean girl in later seasons
It's definitely a false equivalence cause the issue with Alicent getting misogynistic treatment by the fandom isn't about people hating Alicent, criticising her etc. There's nothing about disliking/criticising/hating a female character that's inherently misogynistic nor is there a conspiracy about disliking traditionally feminine characters being rooted in internalised misogyny (*side-eyes sansa stans*). It's what they say about Alicent that's misogynistic, like inappropriate comments and victim-blaming of her when she was 15 ("fucking" viserys when it comes to her being maritally raped etc), the constant (and i do mean constant) gendered insults etc
We're supposed to be all adults here, it shouldn't be difficult to criticise women without being a misogynistic dick

Hello dear. May I ask why you're so fond of Brienne ending up as someone's Queensguard/Kingsguard at the end of the series? What about Tarth? Isn't the point of Brienne's story for her to realize she's more than just a bodyguard? And if she's Sansa with a Sword, then why does Sansa deserve to be her own person and have a family and children and a husband but Brienne is reduced to her bodyguard? I'm asking you because I know you love Brienne.
I'm not fond of Brienne ending up as Queensguard or Kingsguard at all, I want her to end up happily in love with Jaime, as Lady of Tarth, fully in charge of her lands and her life after covering herself in eternal glory during the Long Night and the battle for the dawn
12, 16?
Thanks @palominojacoby!
12. What would your choice for a GoT prequel/sequel be?
I’d be into a Robert’s Rebellion prequel for sure. There are just so many mysteries there that inform the main series. I’m fascinated by House Dayne. I want to know what really happened with Ashara Dayne, and what went down at the Tower of Joy (how long was Lyanna there, what was her relationship with the kingsguard who kept here there) I’d love to see the tourney at Harrenthal, and how exactly Lyanna ended up with Rheagar, and how exactly Benjen ended up at the Night’s Watch...and Ned & Catelyn’s wedding....actually, now that I’m thinking about it, if anyone has any Robert’s Rebellion era fics to recommend (the more epic, the better), send them my way!
16. What part of GoT ending made you the happiest?
Seeing Brienne knighted by Jaime. I know that wasn’t the ending, but honestly that was the last episode I actually liked, so I’m sticking with that. I thought the entire scene in front of the fire was so well done, and I got a little teary-eyed when he knighted her. (I’ve done my best to block out everything else that happened between Brienne and Jaime after that moment).
Hi! 5, 11 and 12 for the GOT ask, please
Thank you, lovely 💕
5. What are your top five GoT ships?
Oooh this is a difficult one!
1: Sansa/Happiness (this totally counts)
2: Theon/Robb
3: Theon/Sansa
4: Robb/Jeyne W
5: Jon/Satin
11. What’s an unpopular GoT opinion you have?
Probably that Dany’s been a villain since the first book/series. Basically as soon as she made the decision to burn Mirri Maz Durr she crossed the line into villainy, even with her belief in ‘glorious purpose’ and good intentions.
12. What would your choice for a GoT presquel/sequel be?
I’d really like a prequel looking at the creation of the Wall! I think it would be really interesting to see a more magical Westeros
