Star-Lord and company pitch in against a cosmic threat!

As Nick Fury donned the Infinity Gauntlet in the most recent “Marvel Avengers Academy” event, the major players throughout the galaxy felt its power. With the Gauntlet’s location revealed, many will inevitably try to take it for themselves.

The first of those comes in Ayesha, bringing her Priestesses to the Academy to make a bid for the Gauntlet. The Guardians of the Galaxy being particularly familiar with cosmic threats like Ayesha will lead the charge against her while new faces from their previous galactic adventures will come to lend a hand.

We grabbed a few minutes from Lead Narrative Designer Allen Warner’s busy schedule to get the lowdown on everything we’ll see in this new event.

I finally have enough coins to fully upgrade yondu; is he worth the upgrade? Or should I keep my coins for future events?

If you can wait until May then there will maybe be another GotG event to coincide with GotG Vol. 2 so there may be an alternate way to upgrade Yondu like they did with Sif in the A-Force event.

I didn't ask, but when I went to my guardian buildings that needed upgrading and tapped the upgrade icon, I could upgrade them with coins. I believe my level 2 combat simulator was 250? And then level 3 was 750 or something. My club was already fully upgraded. The upgrades take an hour each!

I don't think there's a way to get all the things in the Chitauri Skiff Challenge without having all the GOTG characters.

It’s doable, but you would have had to start from the very start the challenge began and just send them all on back to back missions, which is pretty lame.

Just curious if anyone has asked if the buildings will be upgradeable during the mini event? I'm currently waiting on a response for upgrading rocket with something other than the guardian shields at the moment.

I haven’t heard anything about buildings. Does anyone know otherwise?

Let me tell you this: I started avengers academy close to the end of the guardians of the Galaxy event so I was able to get starlord but I was 1 chitari armor away from getting gamora which I was dissapointed about

If anyone had previously got Cosmo in the GOTG event, they can get 5 shards for him automatically when the quest comes up :)

-whines pitifully- I really want the Groot bobble to hang out with the Star Lord one, but I think it is impossible with just Star Lord to do that 5 hr mission enough times before the event ends. :...(

Unfortunately it’s pretty much impossible unless you set a timer to send him every 5 hours and started as soon as the mission got released. :/
