So I'm currently replaying Marvel’s Guardians and Drax and Quills conversation on Knowhere might genuinely be in the running for my favourite scene in the whole game and I totally missed it the first time. So I had to redraw it obviously this game is Stunning

I love a good Absolutely Fucking Bleak monologue what can I say. The context is that Katathian cthonic beliefs (am I using that word right?) dictate that only meaningful or valourous deaths get an afterlife, so he's found staring into the literal void at the edge of the universe to feel some kind of closeness to his slain family. (He also says that "in the fabric of his being, he knows Thanos still lives," which. Whoooooow boy.)

Its a piece of information that only comes up here are recolours so much of how he fell to the church's influence so easily later and.

There's also a lot of Quill grappling with his own grief around his mom's death and kind of his views on religion (this might be a spot of projection but it sounds kinda like he's trying to convince himself almost. Like it's Anything to hold on to.)
