Infinity War has come out, and I’ve gone to see it. I won’t spoil anything as of now, but let me tell you, bring lots of tissues!
- You initially met him when himself, Groot, Gamora and Star-Lord had been arrested and taken to the Kyln, and you and Drax had fought your way to escape with them.
- You had done your best to show them that you could be a good asset to their team; having been arrested due to your high crime, how well you could fight and infiltrate your way through anywhere with no trouble.
- At first, all of you all hated each other, not thinking that you would all work together as a team, but slowly all thinking of each other as a family.
- You got on well with all of the team, especially Groot, and it made you realise that it slowly brought you closer to Rocket.
- It had started as a mutual friendship, helping him or watching him as he worked on new weapons, when you realised that you would stare at him from a distance. You then begun started staring at him more often, averting your eyes when he turned your way, trying to look as though you weren’t looking at him to begin with.
- It only got worse, when you tried your best to be around him as much as possible. Even if it was just sitting next to him as he worked or walking by his side when on a planet and getting supplies. You did a few too many things to almost get his attention, and it didn’t take long for you to begin blushing and thinking about him all the time, even when sleeping.
- You went out of your way to collect things for him - small trinkets, bolts and scraps of metal you would try to trade with the locals, sometimes secretly stealing it too - and giving it to Rocket as gifts, so he could use them to improve his weapons or build things from scrap.
- You even went out of your way to try and impress him; clanking and trying to build guns by yourself, since you thought it would impress him, but when it turned out badly or he watched you failing, he would sigh and come to your aid, teasing you about how much you failed.
- When he got drunk one time and lashed out pointing a gun to those, he drunkenly raged and told those that people saw him as a monster, an animal and a rodent; some names were even worse. It upset you to see him so distraught and made you angry that so many people called him such horrible names.
- It wasn’t long before someone noticed, and low and behold, it was Peter Quill himself. He quickly came to notice the small crush you had on Rocket and would tease you constantly about it, going out of his way to send you looks when Rocket had entered a room.
- “Look who’s here.” he would chime and you would instantly try to bury your head under a desk, or blush furiously glaring over to the Terran man to make him stop.
- You were positively sure that Rocket wouldn’t like you back, for he must’ve seen you as a klutz or weirdo. There were days when you would try to spend as much as possible being by Rocket’s side, to even spending a day in your room alone.
- You had even tried breaking your weapons just so you could get Rocket to fix them for you, but you slowly begun thinking that he would catch on. He found it strange that you would come to him with another broken gun, and when he did mention it, you would just try to nervously laugh it off.
- You had eventually given up and known it would’ve been best to confess your feelings to him: since it was slowly eating at your mind.
- You caught him and asked if you could speak to him alone, and that was where you confessed to him in his room. You told him that you didn’t see him as a monster or vermin, you saw him as an individual.
