Had recorded hour 1 of my set from the previous dance night we had so I could dance to it later when I'm not focused on setting up the next song. The dancing in question. To Sleep by the Ire into Alice by Sisters of Mercy.
Plus stills that I thought were funny from the actual night. Tragic that I'd not the time to tease my hair that weekend, but I was satisfied with the music then.
Got another private night at my place planned for the 20th. Invited quite a few friends.
Otherwise went to Knottsberry farm and the Atelier Pierrot popup with my partner on a weekend road trip. Got Seattle planned for next month, maybe see about getting into the Mercury as I wasn't able to last time. Going to help a friend vend at a convention, but otherwise hang out in the area. Thinking of moving somewhere there at some point in the further future. Or Portland area. I like the nature.

Video I got while at the goth night! Dancing in these kinds of places makes me feel so good <3

goth dancing is so fucking fun and if you say otherwise might i suggest trying to experience joy magic and fun?

dear Auntie Jilli, I may need some help. I found out from a fellow goth I met online that a city nearby hosts goth parties every month, and I really want to go (my city has a tiny alt scene, but I haven't seen much in terms of gatherings or communities), and the problem is I... can't really dance. I've never been to a real goth club. can you recommend me some resources on dancing and such that I could use so I won't stick out like a sore thumb on the dancefloor?
Ooooh, a goth night! I'm so excited for you!
My first bit of advice is don't worry about sticking out. Anyone dancing is going to be too busy doing that to look at you. With that said, here are some videos that pass the Auntie Jilli "yes, that's what we did Back In The Day" standards.
Angela Benedict - The San Francisco Taffy Pull was the one I favored.
Black Friday - The Slow Motion!
And this, if you added dramatic twirling with full skirts, is exactly how I danced.
“good dancing” is an illusion. the true secret to dancing is to just pretend you’re at a goth club in the 80s listening to the cure, regardless of the song or setting
