Yeah I was a goth in the 90s and actually wrote for the goth bible, Propaganda in it’s waining days. I still care tremendously about Christian Death and I hope you will vote for my essay again in today’s match off.
Queer artists are essential in music history and Rozz Willams was the only out gay artist among goth’s founders. In my essay I discuss the significance of this in his lyrics as a young gay man writing about blood, death and Christ at the advent of the AIDS crisis.
Christian Death made major musical developments in the genre too which I explore in the essay.
