Since I'm in the depths of eldergoth nostalgia, here: the Ye Olde Spooky Club 1995 playlist! If you went to the Catwalk in Seattle during that era, this is what you'd hear.

Oh, and have a photo of @tura23 and me from Back In The Day at a World Horror Con that WotC sent us to. Sure, have the two big-haired goth girls share a hotel room, leading to questions such as: "Is this your black skirt or mine?", "Have you seen my ankh necklace?", and "Did we pack enough AquaNet?"

Does anyone have any nostalgia for alternative culture 2006-2012 that isn't emo? I remember trying to be a little goth girl and getting called emo carrying around a superwethered copy of Gothic Charm School by Jillian Venters. I thrifted and unabashedly went between gothabilly or poorly attempted victorian goth depending on the day. Doing neither exceedingly well with my strict parents and limited means. Glitter and theatre makeup everyday. Doing a giant of rat nest hair in the school bathroom every morning. Listening to Life Less Lived (the goth box) and feeling like the first person to ever heard The Cure. Like I have such a deep passionate love for myself around that time. I am not as cool as her.

Reblogging that 90s goth photos post immediately triggered an overwhelming bout of goth nostalgia. I think I need to spend a few evenings paging through my collection of goth magazines. I also need more playlists of 90s goth music, especially the swirly stuff like Switchblade Symphony, Faith and the Muse, This Ascension, etc.
