A/N: Papi being on Fridays has really thrown off my writing schedule and a whole completed chapter slipped through the cracks. My bad girlies.
Previous Chapter
There was something about seeing Blaze interacting with her family that somehow made her more attractive. Luis never saw himself as one to get married but Blaze had changed everything. “Hey big guy. What’s on your mind?” Blaze smiled as she wrapped her arms around his neck. “You have no idea how much you’ve changed the trajectory of my life. I never thought I’d get married but when I look at you…I want to be your husband in the worst way. I want that to be us in 20 years.” he smiled as he pointed to her parents dancing to the music on the patio. “May I have this dance, mi amor?” Blaze smiled as she grabbed his hand and pulled him outside.
“Should we tell them that you proposed? I’m sure Benito the Seer already knows tho.” Blaze giggled as they swayed to the music. “I can do it again.” he smiled as he pulled Batholomew from her finger. She gasped in fake shock. He cleared his throat as he lowered himself down onto one knee. “Blaze Silva…since the day we met you’ve brought nothing but chaos into my life. And I couldn’t be happier. Mi vida, will you make me the happiest man on Earth by being my wife?” he smiled up at her. He placed the silver ring on his pinky before revealing a black velvet box in his massive hand. He opened it to reveal a salt & pepper kite cut diamond set in white gold with smaller diamonds surrounding it. “Oh my god.” She gasped, it was perfect. “You already know the answer is yes. Doesn’t matter if it’s a bat or this.” she smiled as she extended her hand to him. He slid the new ring onto Blaze’s finger. She pulled him up and into a kiss. Inacio was the first to come and see his daughter’s official engagement ring. “Is it good enough?” Luis laughed. “It’s perfect.” Blaze smiled, her father and brother nodded in agreement. “So…Puerto Rican wedding.” Benito teased. “And Brazilian honeymoon? After Royal Rumble of course because I’m trynna go to Carnaval.” Luis added.
The more time had passed, the more Marika grew to regret how things had turned out. Blaze had been her best friend for so long and her reality of Blaze’s absence during the pregnancy was hitting Marika hard. Someone else would plan her baby shower, if she even had one. Someone else would be anointed as the baby’s godmother. Quinn’s moods were also hitting her hard. Marika was surprised that Blaze hadn’t blocked her on Instagram. Most of her posts were for work anyway. Blaze hadn’t even bothered to remove Marika from her close friends list. The circle around Blaze’s profile photo lit up indicating that she had just posted to her story. She was at a nice house with a pool dancing with her father before spinning around to dance with the tall, tattooed guy from work. Marika watched as he pulled Blaze close. He had the eyes of a man deeply in love. Was Blaze about to get her happy ending before Marika got hers? Blaze was just as enamored with him. She hadn’t looked that happy with Quinn in a while. Blaze intentionally left the proposal out even though Benito recorded the whole thing and the aftermath. The timing wasn’t right.
“My guess is that you aren’t coming home tonight?” Benito teased. “You have guessed correctly, twin. Don’t worry, I will be there before you have to go to the airport. I promise.” Blaze smiled as she hugged her brother. “I know. Hey, I’m proud of you…Queen of the Drums. That was so badass. Can I get a spot in the drum section next year?” He teased. “Of course you can! Love you.” She smiled as he reluctantly handed her the key to her car. She hugged her parents while Luis pulled her car into the garage. As they turned the corner, Blaze felt his arms slip around her waist. “And now I have you all to myself.” Luis growled as he pulled his fiancé inside his home. “All part of your diabolical plan?” Blaze giggled. “Of course! Come with me to the bedroom, I wanna show you something.” he kissed her cheek. “Is it big?” she laughed. “Big & Hard since the first time I laid eyes on you. But it’s not that. Let me show you.” he smiled as he pulled her into the bedroom. He turned on the lights and showed her the space in the master closet and drawers in the dresser. “For me?” she smiled. “Yes. I was serious when I said that I wanted you to move in. I want to wake up every morning next to you and I don’t wanna wait until we get married. I need you here with me ASAP, Mami.” He smiled.
“I think we should celebrate.” Blaze smiled as she sat down on the bed. “We will, we will. We have to make a couple of phone calls first.” Luis smiled as he pulled her up and back to the kitchen. Thankfully, his dad and brothers were together. They weren’t surprised to hear the news, which surprised Blaze. “Ok, so maybe I talked about you a lot. What can I say? New girl was fine! Too fine to have someone’s raggedy son making her cry every week. I kinda hope our kids have red curls like mama.” He teased, his fingers twirling around a wild loc of her hair. “Our kids? Can we get married first?” She laughed as he FaceTimed Demi. “This better be important Big Guy, the movie was just getting good.” Demi grumbled as she finally looked at the screen to see the ring on Blaze’s tattooed hand. “Ohmigod! Naur! You guys! Aww! Congratulations!” Demi giggled as she did a happy dance.
“Rumor has it that Backlash is going to be in Puerto Rico. So start looking for a beachy goth dress.” Blaze giggled as Luis playfully covered her face in kisses. “Aww come on Priest! Eww!” Demi laughed. “We gotta go celebrate. Adios hermana.” Luis laughed as he ended the call. “There’s a meeting in our bedroom, Mrs. Martinez.” Luis growled as he turned off the TV. “I thought you wanted to watch a movie. Aren’t you tired of me?” Blaze laughed. “I’ll never be tired of you. Come here.” Luis spoked as he pulled her back to the couch. “I’d strip for you but I’m not wearing much.” Blaze blushed. “Maybe next time, amor.” Luis smiled as she stood between his legs. Blaze slowly dropped down to her knees. “Whoa, what are you doing?” Luis laughed. “What do you think I’m doing?” Blaze laughed as she tugged at his shorts. He lifted up so she could pull them down to his ankles. Blaze’s green eyes captured his as her hand moved up and down his veiny shaft. “Fuccckk, mi amor. You’re too good to me.” He moaned softly. “And it’s only going to get better.” She smiled as she wrapped her full lips around his mushroom shaped tip.
“You aiming for a bigger ring?” He moaned, his hands untying her ponytail. “No, just a satisfied husband.” Blaze giggled before sliding him back between her lips. She relaxed her tongue until he slid down the back of her throat. “Ohh my god Blaze! That feels so fuckin good.” He moaned. She winked up at him before her hand began to massage his taut balls. His hips jerked up towards her mouth. Her free hand held his as she felt him throbbing on her tongue. Luis opened his mouth to tell Blaze that he loved her but only a gruff moan came out as he exploded in her mouth. Her head bobbed up and down until she had swallowed his last drop. “That was incredible.” He sighed as his low eyes watched her wipe the saliva from the corners of her mouth and chin. “I know. I’m going to go shower. Care to join me?” She teased. “You go ahead. I need a minute to recover.” He laughed, his cheeks flushed.
Blaze stripped down and tied her hair back up. She hated to take her ring off, it was so pretty. As Blaze slid the ring off, it hit her that all the wedding things a girl did with her best friend would be done with Demi instead of Marika. It hurt but the level of Marika’s betrayal hurt more. “You don’t owe her your tears. She made her choice.” Blaze spoke to herself as she stepped under the water. The water felt symbolic, like Blaze was washing away the heaviness that had been her life for the past year. She decided that she didn’t want to hide her happiness any longer. Blaze would post the engagement video if it was ok with Luis. She slathered shea butter on her skin and eased into her pajamas. She opened the bathroom door to see the bed empty. “He’s asleep on the couch.” she laughed to herself as she put her dress in the laundry basket and wandered into the living room. Sure enough, Luis was asleep on the couch with his shorts and boxers still down around his ankles. “Babe, come to bed. Unless you want to look like Winnie the Pooh all night.” she laughed. “It’s your fault! You didn’t tell me that this whole time that you were a throat goat. It’s been…a very long time since I had it like that. Damn girl…what bills you need paid, Mami?” He laughed as he pulled his shorts and boxers up. “Definitely my car note.” Blaze giggled. “Say less. It’s taken care of.” Luis laughed as he followed her into the bedroom.
“I was thinking…I should post the video. Or is it too soon?” Blaze asked. “Post it in the morning and caption it…About Last Night. Cause a day long Crashout cuz it’s forever Fuck Quinn and Marika. You’re happy, protected and loved and they can choke on it!” He laughed as he went to take a shower.
Legends say that he was carved by the goth gods… His hands were especially mashed on for years before breathing them to life through his mortal mother.
A/N: Had a little writer's block on this story but now I'm locked back in...just in time for Monday Night Raw.

“You alright?” Luis asked, his arms pulling Blaze to his chest. “The more I see him, the more I start to hate him!” Blaze groaned. “Want to stop by the bakery and get a cookie?” Luis teased. “I’m not a baby!” she laughed. “I know, you’re my vicious little cobra. And my cookies are better anyway! I’ll bake you some Snickerdoodles.” he smiled, kissing her lips. “I love the way that you care for me. My protector.” Blaze gushed. “I know that you’d be the same way about me. You’d probably show less restraint. If I was just Luis Martinez, nobody from the Bronx…I would’ve laid him out the first time I saw you crying in the hallway! But I got shit I can’t lose now…including my fiancé.” Luis sighed as they walked back to the car.
Luis closed the door behind her and put the groceries in the trunk. He climbed in and kissed Blaze. “I love you, Papi.” Blaze smiled. He went to pull the sunshade from the window, she stopped him. “Wait, I have an idea.” She smiled darkly. “I don’t think we’ve done it in the car before.” Luis blushed, turning the engine on. He flipped the radio station until he found a sound loud enough to drown out the sound. Blaze shoved her panties into her purse and crushed her lips to his. He leaned his seat back, pulling her into a straddle across his lap. “Damn, baby.” He growled, reaching between them to unzip his jeans. “You’re gonna be the death of me.” Luis laughed. “You’d die happy, mi amor.” she giggled.
Luis moaned out as Blaze sank down onto him. “Mmm, good boy.” Blaze growled, his big hands grabbing her ass. Her moans filled the car as her hips rocked against his. Something about the growl of the engine and the bass of the music and the forbidden air of the location heightened the experience. “I’ve never had sex in the car before.” Luis laughed. “Like ever?” Blaze moaned, her lips kissing his neck. “No, never. I’m a big guy.” He laughed. “Ohh Papi, you’re so big.” Blaze moaned as he swiveled into her g-spot. “You’re close. Let me have it and then we can get boba tea.” Luis laughed, his own ending tingling in his bones. “Ah, there’s my Punisher. Come out to play with me.” Blaze whispered, nipping at his lips between kisses. “I love you, mi corazon.” Luis moaned as his climax burst from his depths. The feel of his warmth filling her triggered her own ending. “I love you. Sorry I couldn’t wait until we got home. It’s sexy when you’re protective.” Blaze sighed, her forehead resting against his. “It’s one of my duties as your husband to protect you. And I take my job very seriously, baby girl.” Luis smiled, kissing her forehead.
“Or do you want something from Wawa? We gotta stop for gas before those long legs of yours have to fetch us a ride.” Luis laughed. “You know that Wawa is our spot. First time I actually realized that you were taking care of me.” Blaze smiled, kissing his lips playfully as she settled back into the passenger seat. While he filled up the tank, Blaze went on a snack run inside the store. She had just finished paying for snacks when her phone rang. “Blaze, what is going on? Quinn called me absolutely hysterical. Said something about you leaving him.” Darren sighed. “We’ve been broken up for a few weeks, Darren.” She sighed. “What?! He’s going on like it literally just happened.” Darren sighed. “Darren, he was cheating on me with Marika. She’s pregnant. That night you were calling police stations and hospitals looking for him…he was at her house.” Blaze sighed. “Oh, Blaze…I’m so sorry. Are you ok?” Darren asked. Blaze was like a big sister to him, she took him to his first pride and stood by side as he came out to his family. “Yeah, I’m fine, Boo. I might as well tell you before Quinn tries to make it into something crazy. I’m seeing someone…from work. There was no physical cheating on my end, it was just emotional. He’s been really supportive of me through everything.” Blaze grumbled as she walked back to Luis’ car. “Ooh, is it Trick Williams? You need that chocolate in your life!” Darren laughed. “Oh no. He’s with Lash.” Blaze laughed. “Then who?! Wait…that tattooed guy in Judgement Day? Not the one with the mullet, the fine one?! He always pulls his tits out when he’s angry. Please tell me it’s him!” Darren giggled.
“Yes, him!” Blaze giggled. “I don’t blame you whatsoever. Especially if Quinn’s dumbass has been cheating and has a side baby. With your best friend?! That’s so fucked up. Uh oh, he’s calling. Let me cuss him out real quick. I’ll text you later. Bye!” Darren laughed before hanging up. “Who’s got you smiling all big? Ain’t me cuz I been pumping gas.” Luis smiled as he closed the car door behind her. He climbed in, taking a drink from her cup before kissing her lips. “Quinn’s little brother, Darren. I guess he called Darren crashing out so Darren thought I just up and left him this morning. Mentioned nothing of the side baby with Marika. He’s a…Damian Priest fan.” She smiled as they continued their journey home.
“Go ahead and let him clap ya cheeks again before we get there.” Benito teased via text. Blaze giggled reading it. “What’s so funny?” Luis asked, smiling when she showed him the text. “I’m glad that we’re doing this. I love seeing you with your family. I never really had that growing up since my parents got divorced and I’m just living vicariously through you.” He sighed. “My love, you’ve done something better. In your journey in this life…you’ve collected family along the way. And soon you will be my family. Then we can start one of our own…I’m thinking maybe 3 little ones.” Blaze smiled. “Let’s get married first. I like having you around at work. Can’t do that if I keep you pregnant. Although, I feel like you’d look super cute with a baby bump.” He teased as he pulled into the driveway. “I did. Maybe one day I’ll show you pics. Not today though cuz I’m living in the moment with my fine ass fiancé. Damn, my ancestors really be coming through for me. I prayed for a time like this.” She smiled. She remembered a specific day that had her wanting to give up. She gathered items for an offering and drove towards the coast. Her prayer was to be happy and healed. To be safe and secure. To rise from the dark depths of her emotions and feel the sun on her face.
“You prayed for me?” He smiled, his cheeks warm. “I guess I did. I asked to have my broken heart healed. I asked to feel safe and secure. I just wanted to smile again. And now that’s all I fuckin do! Thank you, baby.” Blaze smiled, leaning over to kiss him softly. “Anything for you, Diosa. Now we gotta make sure that nobody finds a pair of your panties stuffed in the couch. I’m starting to get a collection.” He laughed. “Some people take their shoes off when they enter a home, I take my panties off. I’ve never heard you complain before.” She teased. “And you won’t ever hear me complaining about that! I say we divide and conquer. You season the meat and prep the grill if you want and I’ll pick up?” He smiled. He was never one to push predetermined gender roles onto the women in his life. “How about I season the meat while you prep the grill and then we can pick up…together?” Blaze suggested. “I like your idea better.” He smiled.
“You have a lovely home, Luis. Thank you for inviting us.” Nyeemah smiled as he gave her a tour of his home. She could already see her daughter’s influence on the space, she’d fit in nicely. “Mrs. S…she’s the love of my life. She makes me feel things that I’ve never felt.” He blushed. “When’s the real ring coming? I see she’s been looking at that bat ring with heart eyes since breakfast. So I’m guessing that you proposed spontaneously?” Nyeemah giggled softly. “I couldn’t help it. Sorry I didn’t come to you for permission.” He spoke. “If it’s ok with her…it’s ok with us. If you like, I can help with ring shopping.” Nyeemah smiled. “I’m one step ahead of you. Do you think she’ll like this?” He smiled, showing Nyeemah a 3D render of the ring he designed months ago. First it was out of boredom because she was still with Quinn but it slowly became for his perfect moment. “Luis, this is gorgeous! Let me know when it’s ready and we can go get our nails done.” She smiled.
“I picked it up yesterday before the festival. I was thinking of doing it tonight while Benito is here. I know how important him being here is to her.” Luis smiled as they walked back to the kitchen. Blaze was standing over the stove, her hips swaying to the music. “My beautiful diosa.” Luis smiled, his arm snaking around her waist. “My king.” She smiled, leaning back into him. She laid her head on his shoulder. “Sometimes I forget how tall you are.” He laughed. “Nyeemah and Inacio birthed a stallion.” She laughed, his hands gripping her waist. “Damn…leave some room for the Holy Spirit.” Benito teased as he grabbed a beer from the fridge. “Manito, your twin is a baddie. I just can’t help myself.” Luis teased, palming Blaze’s ass and walking away. “I first saw him in a dream some years ago. I thought that shit was a fluke but he wouldn’t go away! I’m glad that he didn’t.” Benito smiled. “And you didn’t tell me because?” Blaze teased. “Cuz it was supposed to be that way. Quinn had such a soul tie on you. You had to break it on your own.” Benito shrugged.
“I saw Quinn in Publix earlier and I was torn between rage and nausea. He always brings her up and it almost always shatters me, but not this time. My protector swooped right in and threatened to drag him up and down the aisles. I never thought I’d have someone like him. I’m the luckiest girl in the world!” Blaze beamed.
I’ve got a few things that I’ve written about this beautiful giant and I’m only adding more cuz….🥵

“B, I’m sorry about earlier. It’s been a long day and I haven’t seen you much the past few months. I feel like we’re missing out on so much of each other’s lives.” Quinn spoke as he handed Blaze a glass of her favorite wine. He was making pasta when she walked in. “Yeah, it’s been a pretty crazy few months. And it’s only going to get crazier. I got cleared to get back into the ring today.” She smiled. The lid of the pot clanked loudly in the sink, Quinn running over to scoop her up in his arms. “That’s awesome.” He smiled, placing a kiss on her lips. Her phone rang from her pocket. “Gotta grab this.” She shoved her AirPods in and walked away, it was Demi. “Hey girlie! How’d your evaluation go?” Demi squealed excitedly into the phone. “I’m cleared bitch!” Blaze squealed as she flopped down on a chair in the backyard. “Awesome. We’re gonna have to go after those tag titles once I wrap up this shoot. Is everything else good?” She asked.
“Oh hell yeah! Those belts would look good on us. Let me guess…you’ve talked to Luis?” Blaze said. “I did, he told me that you spent the day together.” Demi laughed. He told her about everything except the kiss. “It was a fun day. He helped me pick candles at IKEA. He totally wants to be besties with my dad.” Blaze laughed. All Luis did the whole call was gush about Blaze and how excited he was to have her get more involved in the ring now that she had been cleared. “Hell, I want to be friends with your dad. And your mum. They’re awesome! He told me that you took him to Tito’s. Blazer…that’s our special spot. I’m hurt.” Demi laughed. “I kissed him.” Blaze texted. Demi gasped and text back “🥹🤭🤐” “Hey, is the Brazilian festival coming up? I’ll have to brush up on my Portuguese.” Demi laughed. They laughed and caught up until Quinn poked his head out to announce that dinner was ready.
Blaze was still pretty full from lunch. “What’s wrong, babe? You’re not eating. You love my chicken carbonara.” Quinn sighed. “I’m sorry, I had a big lunch at Tito’s with dad. And it was his cheat day so we shared a slice of cake. I’ll finish this later. I’m gonna jump in the shower like I had planned on doing before dinner. Thank you for making dinner.” She smiled, kissing his sauce-covered lips. “You’re welcome, Queen.” He laughed, smacking her ass when she stood up. “Don’t start with me Quinn.” She smiled. As much as she wanted to jump in her car and drive to Luis’ house, she couldn’t complicate things further. Luis Martinez and his big Damian Priest energy had Blaze ready to explode. “What’s the female equivalent to blue balls?” Blaze thought to herself as she weighed the pros and cons of having sex with her actual boyfriend, not her work boyfriend.
Blaze grabbed Quinn by his shirt, pulling him up from the table. She crushed her lips to his, her body warm against his. “I want it.” Blaze whimpered desperately. Part of her brain felt guilty, like she was cheating. Quinn picked her up, her legs around his waist as he carried her to the bedroom. They had only been intimate twice in the 2 months since she had gotten called up, it was long overdue. He put her down and they both got undressed. His manhood twitched with excitement as she exposed herself to him. Her nipples were hard enough to cut glass, her delicate folds glistening with her essence as she laid down on the bed. Quinn was about to reap the benefits of something that hadn’t been for him in a while. “The timing isn’t right.” Blaze spoke as she grabbed a condom from the nightstand, he nodded obediently and slid it onto his length. Blaze hated that she wasn’t into it as much as she used to be, she’d always enjoyed their intimacy. But they were both different now. Luckily for her, it didn’t last long, but he kept at it until she climaxed too. “You’re incredible baby.” Quinn moaned as he cuddled up next to Blaze. “Thank you. You did…you did well.” Blaze laughed softly. “Give me 45 minutes and I’ll make up for it.” He growled, his lips kissing her neck.
Blaze rolled out of bed and walked into the bathroom. By the time she finished her shower, she felt less guilty and Quinn was snoring like a grizzly bear. “Ok, now I’m hungry.” Blaze mumbled as she refilled her plate with pasta and warmed it in the microwave. A few bites in, her phone rang, it was Marika, her best friend from high school. “Are you available for lunch tomorrow? I haven’t seen you or talked to you in a few weeks. I miss you bitch! I have to hear about life on the road!” Marika squeaked. They set up a time for lunch and kept chatting until Benito called. “Tell Beni I said hey and I’ll see you tomorrow.” Marika spoke as they hung up. “So…Luis seems nice. He’s super into you. And you’re into him too!” He teased. “Didn’t I tell you not to start with me big brother? He’s one of my work husbands. The Judgment Day takes care of me. Those were Demi’s orders.” Blaze laughed. “If they really want to take care of you, they need to come stomp out that nigga you live with!” Benito growled. He had been sour on Quinn ever since Blaze lost the baby. Quinn blamed her, Benito didn’t like that.
“I still have love for him, Benito.” Blaze sighed. “I know, but I don’t get it at the same time! He’s all you’ve ever known and that type of loyalty is rare but…he’s no longer deserving of it. Let his mama take care of him. There’s no ring on your finger! Which is something else I don’t understand either.” He grumbled. This was a conversation they’ve had before. Blaze was stubborn to a fault. Now wasn’t the time to tell her brother that she was in the process of leaving Quinn.
The next morning…
“Blaze, is everything ok?” Sheila spoke in a concerned voice as Blaze sat down across from her desk. “Ms. Sheila, things are complicated. I’m thinking about going to my parents for a while. We need some space. But if I don’t come back, it’s better to have my name off the lease. Don’t worry, he’s not abusive. He’s still a good guy and I love him but ever since I lost the baby…some days I hate him.” Blaze spoke, tears streaming down her cheeks. “Please don’t cry baby. I understand. I can take your name off. Will he still be able to pay?” the woman asked, handing Blaze some tissues. “Yeah, he pays 100% of the rent.” Blaze sniffled. The woman typed up the proper document and had Blaze sign it. “Now…you know that this isn’t legally binding until he signs it too.” Sheila explained. “I’ll get him to sign it. Send it to me via docusign.” Blaze said. She had known Quinn since junior year of high school and he got himself into the worst predicaments by not reading documents before he signed them. Blaze chatted briefly with her landlord and left before she was late for lunch with Marika. Her phone pinged as she climbed into the car, it was Luis. “Can you talk real quick?” he asked.
“Hey. What’s up?” she spoke as she pulled into traffic. “You ok? You sound…not yourself.” he laughed. “I’ll explain later, but I’m good. Headed to lunch with a friend.” Blaze smiled. “Oh nice. Want me to pick you up tomorrow? And...bring your black boots with the chains, we’re doing a theme.” he laughed. “Will you finally let me braid your hair?!” Blaze squealed. She had been asking him for the longest. “Fuck no! You’re hot but you’re not that hot.” he laughed. “That’s a goddamn lie and you know it!” Blaze laughed, he was silent. He couldn’t argue with her. “I’m dropping the car off at Dad’s shop so he can wrap it while I’m gone. Pick me up from there? I’ll send you the address.” she smiled, sending him the address while she sat at a long red light. “Got it. Text me later…if you want. I’ll see you tomorrow. Bye.” Luis fumbled before hanging up before things got more awkward. That quick convo provided Blaze with a soft blush to her cheeks.
“Girl…tell me all about the main roster! Is Bianca Belair really nice in real life?” Marika asked as she sat down with Blaze for lunch. “She’s on Smackdown, the blue brand. I’m on Raw, the red brand. But we’ve done some work over there and she’s a total sweetheart! She’s a total girls girl.” Blaze laughed. “And how is it with Judgment Day?” Marika asked. “Oh, they’re great. Those are my guys, I’ve been learning so much from them. Like career changing stuff about body recovery and just being in the ring with such a large crowd. I’m so excited to get to work.” Blaze beamed excitedly. “Oh…ok. That’s cool, I guess. You’re really serious about this professional wrestling thing aren’t you?” Marika asked. Blaze could feel the vibe shifting between them, something was off. “Getting your degree is still in your plans though, right? It’s just…we had this plan and then you decided to run off to become a wrestler! I never see you anymore!” Marika sighed. “Rik, why can’t you just be happy for me? I finally have something in my life that I’m super good at. Something that has brought light back into my life. I’ll be done with school next year, I promise.” Blaze sighed. “Between your man and wrestling, I feel like I’m losing my best friend.” Marika mumbled. “Girl, nah. I’m still here. And I’m always down for an escape from Quinn…especially on his bad days. I’m just so tired.” Blaze grumbled. “What’s his name?” Marika laughed. “What’s who’s name?! Ohhh…there’s no one else. You have no idea how frustrating it is when he insists that nothing is wrong with his brain and won’t go to the doctor about it. Typical man shit. The last time he went missing, I was driving all over all night and had his brother call the hospitals and police stations. I cried myself to sleep thinking he was lying somewhere helpless dying.” Blaze spoke, fighting back tears. “Girl, I’m so sorry. Why didn’t you call me? I would’ve helped you look.” Marika smiled.
