Rewatching the middle of season 3 and logically I KNOW that what Oswald did was bad and selfish but watching Ed play with him before killing him breaks my heart everytime its just so cruel. From faking him out with an implied confession of love to destroying everything Oswald worked so hard to achieve to taunting him about desecrating his father's remains it's all so awful especially juxtaposed with Oswalds complete devotion to Ed, wondering where he is and worrying about him constantly. I'm not to the docks yet but Oswald is being interrogated by Barbra (yet another of Ed's games) and he looks so small and sad and tired. It's crazy that in the show they both murder people and do bad things and yet I always have a tough time watching these episodes even though they are my favorite because it seems like the cruelest thing Ed has ever done for some reason and its incredibly painful to watch Oswald go through it all.
