i know i've complained about Ed and Oswald dominating the entire Gotham fandom's attention, but that really is a special pair of characters. what if we became inextricably tied into each other's lives but selfishness and emotional instability drove us into a lovely back-and-forth of attempted murder, both of us thinking the other is an immature fool while acting increasingly childish and petty with each incident, but eventually accepted the fact that we would never be able to truly be apart because we're the only ones who truly understand each other. and we were both boys
