In Midsomer Murders, there's an episode where the victim says "I HURT NOBODY" and everyone thinks he meant "I didn't hurt anyone" and it isn't until the end when the murderer is revealed that they realise he was owning up to actually hurting someone and that someone's nickname was NOBODY. Literally the easiest pun to work with.

Re: The Odyssey (spoilers below)

Nolan claiming he couldn't include the "nobody" reference because it doesn't translate to modern day language is a joke. Seriously, Percy Jackson and Midsomer Murders had no trouble doing that and in modern day language. He just didn't include it because it didn't fit HIS version of Odysseus.
