I think it's just a bruised ego," Jason tells her as Damian pulls himself off the floor with her help. He grabs onto the wall immediately, scowling like it's the reason he fell in the first place. "Think you could kiss it better?"
"You're digusting, Todd."
Rivkah snorts and helps Jason up next, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. "That better?" she asks.
"I think you missed, sweetheart."
"I regret to inform you, Riv, that you seem to be enamored with the epitome of mediocrity," Damian says, looking disgusted by his flirting.
"I am right here, you gremlin."
"Yes, I am aware."
Rivkah laughs, the sound warm and fuzzy and burrowing its way into Jason's chest like it belongs there. It does, he thinks, if only so he can cradle it in his hands later when he misses her. "I happen to think he's pretty amazing," she says, looking at Jason so he knows that statement is more for his sake than Damian's.
"Unfortunately, all people must have their faults," Damian mutters.
