              it was not the firs ttime that bruce grabbed his hand for comfort, given that he was the closest thing next to alfred as a parent figure in his life. the two of them were with him when his parents could not be, as were their wills, but.. it had been years, and it appeared that bruce saw him as a father, and alfred as a close family friend. he.. could not be the father figure that bruce needed him to be, but it was evident that the sorcerer tried his hardest to be, and in moments like this, when a teenaged ‘batman’ needed comfort? 

the sorcerer squeezed the younger’s hand in his own, unknown to him that the scars he wore upon them were something of a grounding feeling for the young wayne.   “   i’m here,   ”   he murmured near silently, using telepathy to not be heard by any other,   “   i’m not going anywhere, bruce.   ”

          “You know--- I almost didn’t believe it when I read it on the guest list, but here you are. Bruce Wayne. It’s been, uh...” Silver pauses, her impeccable smile faltering for a second. How long has it been anyway? Hopefully long enough for them to have moved past their childhood, she’s been longing for a new beginning for a few years now, a chance to reconnect with Gotham and try to replace all those terrible memories it left in her. “A while, I guess.” // @gothamsmyth liked.
