Have you ever gotten an email from a dead man? Shouldn't be possible. Shouldn't be and yet... theres a function to schedule emails for the future. Voss didn't know that when they grabbed him. He did now.
As the criminal, just one guy, a 5'9 guy with short brown hair and eyes that look way too familiar for Voss's comfort, had grabbed him off the street and shoved him into an alley. Turns out Vito had a brother. And today on his birthday he'd received an email from his deceased little bro. Videos. Several of them, showing off Voss's powers. Showing how easy he was to control. How obedient. This had all been explained to the young fox as he'd been pulled through alleys, shoved into a car and then pulled back out into a warehouse.
The warehouse was empty, save for a metal chair, a projector, and several cans of gasoline. Voss shook as he was instructed to strip, his shirt and pants tossed in the corner, along with his collar and even more importantly his inhibitor bracelet. Left in just boxers he was told to sit as the man pulled out rope and tied each of his limbs to the chair. The projector was turned on, playing each of the videos, showing Voss exactly why he needed to behave. His ears twitched nervously as he heard the unscrewing of a gas can and he lets out a gasp as the cold liquid is poured directly over his head, coating his hair, his ears, dripping down his face and chest and back. When the man runs out he simply opens another can and continues pouring, making sure hes completely soaked. Tails weighed down by the liquid and by fear.
"You deserve this whore. Time to find out how fire resistant you really are... and just for good measure... how fire resistant your friends are." The man grabs Voss's phone, unlocking it with the boys finger, doing something and then tossing it in the corner and walking out. Leaving him alone and terrified.
You'd recieved a text from Voss. No words, just a location then silence. He won't respond, won't answer texts or calls.
The horrible videos are still playing when you make your way inside. When those frightened orange eyes stare at you and he desperately struggles against his restraints. "Don't get any closer!"
// All are welcome to reply! If our characters don't already know each other then just ignore the text part and assume your character like heard noises inside the building or something //
The infamous Hellfire Gala. And of course the children got invited along with their mother to the event.
April had a plus one. Of course she was bringing the person closest to her along. Well, the one thing she explained was the fashion.
"I'm sorry in advance. But this is, theeeee event for mutant kind. It's power and money and fashion-!" She even waves her hand. Her curls swirled around as she laughs.
"It'll be fun though. Good food, a way to pick the new X-Men team too." She beams. "plus the food is amazing... I did say that. Emma helps set these up." She rambled a bit sure but it'll be fun!
Once April beams as they get out the limo. Her curls were slightly styled differently as she takes their hand. Her gown swirls around her ankles as her flats hit the ground. A red carpet, photos and many other mutants all around. It was a scene- but of course. This is the only biggest event mutant kind shows off to everyday folks.
"Sorry I know. Lots of people.... But it'll be fun. Stay with me .." she weaves them past through the red carpet quickly. Letting her mother and sisters take all the photos- April huffs a bit as they slid inside. She looks to her companion. "Are you okay?"
They had been working for months, organized amongst their groups around the city. Lists with locations given to FOH members, all with the goal of taking them out.
It was time to take a stand against these mutie freaks. To stop their entire existence before it went on any further. They had one destination in mind for tonight, the place in the city with the most muties present.
Trucks bearing FOH Zero Tolerance flags rode through the city, LED headlights bright, illuminating the streets they traveled through, engines roaring like valiant lions. They entered Manhattan's Lower East Side, rock music blaring, and announcing their presence.
The procession of vehicles stopped in the middle of the street, blocking traffic to and from the entrances of this borough.
The masked, bulletproof vest wearing, armed FOH members exited their vehicles, cocking their guns. "We're taking back our city!"
"Let's get rid of these muties!" One of them shouted, firing off a round of bullets at one of the residential windows.
"Time for you muties to meet your maker!"
"And you mutie lovers, too!"
"Never give up, never give in, the FOH will win!"
Another took aim at a civilian and pulled the trigger, "Die mutie!"
The shine from the morning light draped over the lands. The day to day life greeted those that woke that fine morning.
The birds sang, the wind traveled freely. It was supposed to be another day to just, enjoy.
Yet, those gray clouds crawling over the horizon was something that set a chill through Sienna. As if she's seen this energy once before.
It was small things next.
The shake of the lamp, the way the dishes in her home rattled. Her eyes shimmer for a moment as if every emotion in her amplified. A sharp pain ran through her as she yelps-
Crash.
The sputter of ceramic breaking on the ground. Small pieces litter around her feet, and suddenly. Sienna recalls why all of it was making sense.
Just a week ago, she got word from Eric something was coming. He didn't specify what, then Charles. Silly Charles warning her to be on alert.
But those men knew more then they let their old friend know. And in this moment Sienna recalls why the tone of those conversations set alarms off.
As if she knows what was to come.
Now, usually the government wouldn't send Sentinels on such a large city. But when mutant kind was making home in New York City.
Where else to send such a clear message to all; mutant kind will never be welcomed.
Her hands shook as she scurries for her phone. James- of course her first instinct was to call him. Bucky Barnes was always a call away for her, then Steve Rogers.
Sienna went through the line of people she loved, mended bonds with and took the time to know these people.
A simple request of the ex-Avenger.
Help protect their city.
Then her next calls came with a shake.
Charles Xavier and Eric Lehnsherr.
Protect mutant kind.
Sienna didn't become a big advocate for mutant kind,to not be able to live peacefully with everyday folks. Trying to keep the peace, trying to push for a more union world.
Just for a few bad eggs to ruin her hard work.
The ex-assassin, ex-Hydra, mother of mutants her self. Worked faster then most would of expected.
Gearing up once again after years of being retired. She took a second as she grabbed her keys for her bike. Time to meet the others-
Thankfully the tower was still available for the gathering of heros.
Sienna was focused as she greeted one. Her eyes shimmer as she was focused, this was important. Everyone had to at least understand; protect this city and the people.
But the chatter of several others grew silent. The shake of the tower made the others stare around.
Sienna was quiet, her eyes trained on the surrounding sky. "they're getting closer..." She whispers out.
The other X-Men realized what she was speaking of. Charles looking to the siren as he was surprised. "You discovered they were coming?"
"I guess I need to make this quicker." She states as she brushed her curls back. Her shoulders brushed back as she held a stoic glance to the others.
"Thank you everyone for joining me today. I know many of you are aware I am older then dirt itself it seems." She softly joked to hope it'll ease the tension.
"The main focus of this gathering. Sentinels. We have created a city beyond the mutant nation of Genosha, to live peacefully for mutant kind and humans."
She looks back to the X-Men then back to the heros. "Our main goal is to split up. Heros who are better in the city need to evaluate the masses. Protect the people from the damage that will happen. The rest of us who can handle those machines will."
She smiles to Steve and Bucky. "I trust you two to lead the city. I can handle outside the city." She states softly as she looks back around. "Keep first aids on hand. Make sure you can handle this, I know this is asking a lot. But the fate of our city and those we have vowed to protect already, are at stake."
She turns on her heels as she slowly turns back around.
If only it was that easy- sure she's handled a few on her own. She's done this before as an ex member of the X-Men family-
But why did this become a harder thing.
Why was it that after years since the last attack. Someone had to make more and upgrade them.
Her eyes shimmer as she was surrounded by clouds. Her hands glowed red as she was throwing agents left and right. Gently she turns on her heels as she took another and slammed them down. Curls swirling around her as she broke the band in her hair.
A higher pitch screech echos out as she knocks a few out. Her eyes flashed red, a red not many saw. She was fully absorbed into her mutation, fully absorbed in the fight.
She wasn't holding back for once. And that scares a few of the X-Men. Which wasn't surprising to Magneto- she's always held herself back.
A blitz of curls flung by as she aims for a leg of a sentinel. Her razor sharp teeth flared out, talons for nails and the way she climbed up it like she's done this before.
Of course she has, who do you think helped saved Genosha.
Sienna was fearsome as she tore a head off. A bit of help from the master of magnetism, one fell. Her eyes targeted on the other four.
She took a deep breath, gulping it in as she falls with the body. A screech fell out but it shook the city.
Enough that it caught attention helping in the evacuations.
This wasn't gonna be an easy fight if it hit actually New York. Thankfully the team managed to keep it at bay outside those skyscrapers.
But the didn't follow the blood spitting up. Sienna whines for a second as she realized she might of broke a vocal cord-
How....was she gonna be able to help now..?
She leans over as she spits up more. Her eyes shaking as she felt someone grab her, dragging her back as the others handled the chaos for a second.
Sienna glanced up to a familiar face. Tears pooling down. It felt like her throat was on fire- but she has to go back-?!
Zoë stared at Ace from a corner in Lilith’s home. Why would she let him over here? After all of that? Well, she supposed it was New Years. She made pitiful noises, staying out of the way of all the others.
@impulsive-spitfire
*He didn't want to be here either. All the happy noisy people. It was gonna take more than that to separate him and her though. He looked over to where she was when she made the noise. Despite everyone drowning it out,he still heard her. If looks could kill, she would be dead ten time over,
