Do we send our headcanons in via askbox?? Assuming so. Kyd and Jericho can and WILL fall asleep on each other all the time. That's just how comfortable they are with one another. Neither of them have 100% healthy sleeping habits, so sometimes they'll just fall asleep midday on the couch or leaning on the other's shoulder.

jericho wakes up with the sun Always, even if they fall asleep at like 3am, a fact that he kept from kyd bc he didn’t want him to feel Bad . once kyd found out he did feel bad for ruining jericho’s days with lack of sleep but like, do they do much in a day anyway, no, not really

jericho has a hard time taking naps tho ironically but at night, especially the day after getting a terrible night’s sleep, he’ll be out like a ROCK 

kyd falls asleep super easily when he comfortable. meaning whenever he’s leaning against jericho

people who have muscle mass are usually warmer (??? source: my brother why is he always warm) just on the surface so kyd loves leaning against farmer boy jericho . he’s not actually a farmer boy he’s just built like one 

kyd can and will carry jericho though. sometimes they’ll be on the couch at night and jericho conks out bc it’s nine oclock and he’s tired, so kyd will carry him to his room

jericho is also very clingy while he sleeps. kyd is 100% okay with this and theyre just constantly touching each other all nigh t

kyd doesn’t sleep as well when jericho’s not there because he doesn’t feel as guarded. he never mentions this but jericho knows

since jericho gets up with the sun he hates staying in bed doing nothing but he also knows if he leaves kyd will sleep worse plus he has to extract himself.... it’s a daily struggle

he has to regularly go and wake kyd up because kyd can and will sleep the entire day away. or at least just. stay in bed. 

kyd uses 24123415 blankets that just  s u r r o u n d . nothing super constricting, of course, but they’re like reassurances (if a blanket’s touching your back you dont have to imagine a ghost or person reaching out and touching your back)

jericho is both exasperated and endeared by this. it changes depending on the day

hm....probably playing ‘Sandman’ by Metallica or maybe ‘Pinnacle to the Pit’ by Ghost. Or just striking a E or G minor chord.

6512. Kyd Wykkyd is an empath, but since he has little to no control over most of his powers, it’s more of a weakness than anything.

If he makes physical skin-to-skin contact with anyone, their emotions flood over him and consume him, which is why his costume covers almost his entire body, and why he’s the most anti-people of the hive. People with bright, outgoing, bubbly emotions, and people with hidden emotions and feelings they don’t want other to know are often the most headache inducing ones when it comes to his empathy.

Hi, I don't know how this headcanon thing works(?) but are you willing to toss me some Kyd Wykkyd or Jericho headcanons (preferably Kyd)? I've been completely out of it for writing and arting and I'd be extremely grateful!

i don’t know much about either one but i’ll try (i’m using wiki to figure out wykkyd’s character and honestly winging it with joey because there’s so few incarnations of wykkyd and many of joey lol)

kyd can physically talk, but he doesn’t like too, ever (selectively mute) so he communicates almost exclusively with sign. very few have actually heard his voice, and even then, it was gravelly and a whisper. jinx, see-more, jericho, and raven have all heard it. raven only because she wondered if he was half demon as well (he’s not, he’s a mutated human) and they had a long talk and he told her, verbally, that he doesn’t talk much for many reasons but one of them was because the mutation makes his voice sound demonic, scratchy, and loud, which was the last thing he wanted. 

he can walk through walls but he prefers not to, unless it’s convenient and he’s not tired. using his powers extensively gives him a migraine. he learned hand to hand combat from various teachers, one of them being joey, eventually. he’s actually a little snot sometimes and just teleports away when he doesn’t want to deal with something; ie, when he and joey accidentally made a huge mess making pancakes, he teleported to his room when jinx walked in. 

neither one of them likes crowds. when there’s a lot of people around, because of his power, joey gets a little overwhelmed (he’s gotten very good at hiding it and overcoming that feeling of drowning). kyd had always felt uncomfortable around large groups of people, because in the past nothing good ever happened with large groups of people. 

because of his mutation kyd’s skin is super sensitive to the sun , which is one of the reasons why he’s covered up all the time. the first time joey saw his skin was at joey’s house , when the sun had long set, and kyd had wanted to show him. (he has light purple skin )

ooh, and maybe kyd has some wicked (lmao i’m punny that was completely unintentional) tattoo-like things running up his arms and legs, and wrapping around his chest and back. just dark purple lines in certain patterns, and they showed up the more he used his power and darkened over time when he used his power on a certain body part (when he teleports it darkens all of them, when he sticks his arm through a wall it darkens the lines slightly only on his arm). they all turn a consistent dark shade when he uses his powers on his whole body/when he gets pissed before settling back into a lighter purple. 

joey loves to garden, but he only grows mountain flowers (for obvious reasons). kyd finds this adorable but himself has the opposite of a green thumb (his powers tend to wither the plants – at least, that’s what he tells people) so he either does other chores or sits and watches . joey made him a flower crown once and kyd told him that it messed with his Aesthetic, to which joey responded “you can be an edgelord and like flowers, too,” and kissed him on the cheek ,, and kyd didn’t reply but he didn’t remove the flower crown either. 

joey sometimes wonders what it would be like to be inside kyd’s head, but he never thinks beyond hypothetical. once, kyd brought it up, and joey told him that he didn’t want to control his body because he was essentially controlling his mind and could see his thoughts. kyd was relieved, even if he was willing to give it a shot, since kyd is naturally reserved and didn’t want joey to see his thoughts. 

kyd is a little insecure about his position and pretty much everything about himself. joey didn’t figure this out for months at least, because kyd seems so calm and put together and has mastered shoving his insecurities down. once he did find out, though, they talked all night and kyd felt infinitely better, knowing that joey knew and still didn’t want to leave. 

joey is slowly but surely teaching kyd how to play the guitar, but he tends to do so really really close to him. when kyd’s nervous his powers activate sometimes, and his fingers occasionally phase through the guitar strings, which flusters him more, and that’s the reason that joey is trying to teach him, really.

i can finally get to answer this ask—ok so, I thought it would be a cool idea based off a comic I saw. Until my heart dropped realizing it wasn't Kyd himself, but Raven in disguise. *upset huff* BUT–this just gave me the idea of, hell, why NOT make him Azarathian, wHY NOT make him leave the hive five at a certain point, cause he didn’t want to be a part of it? I mean, at some point the comics kinda indicate that he no longer appears in it. I know Jinx eventually leaves the team so why not Kyd Wykkyd?

what i have so far:

Kyd being born in Azarath but then coming to earth as a pre-teen, eventually going into the H.I.V.E academy. He has both his parents, and they insisted he goes tries something new, and Kyd seemed okay with it.

Kyd was pretty close to his mother.

Kyd eventually masters the abilities and powers that come with saying the chant, even sometimes without saying it out loud.

He tends to be mute with everyone, but when he’s alone, he will sometimes talk to himself.
