He's all about nicknames, he thinks it's one of the sweetest, most pure forms of affection imaginable. In fact, he uses so many, there's no way in hell they could all ever possibly be listed, especially considering he keeps thinking up more and more every month like clockwork. So instead, here's just a taste of what he has in his artillery to throw at you when you're least expecting it. Baby, Babydoll, Dolly, Sweetums, Sweetie Pie, Sweetie Cake (Because he felt 'Sweetie Pie' needed a buddy and he likes both desserts greatly), Love Locks, Baby Bunny, Honey Bunny, Honeydew, Cutie, and his most treasured one that he saves only for the most precious of moments, My Life.
PDA? Jazz isn't one to shy away from you just because you're in public, he'll always be by your side, no matter the circumstances. He'll even make out with you if he good and damn pleases, he doesn't give a flying fuck about the "Ews" and annoyed "Ughs" of his fellow teammate, he loves you, and he's gonna make it known.
"They're just jealous that they don't have ya', sweetums."
And you know? He may very well be right. Even the gruffest of bots wouldn't mind a smoochin' every once in a blue moon.
As for the ways he expresses love the most, he's definitely an acts of service and physical touch type of guy, but he's also a big praiser, as well. He lets you know he's there for you every step of the way, no matter what trouble may unfold before you both by helping out with any projects you may have and holding your hand every step of the way all the while telling you just how incredible of a job you're doing. And if you're just feelin' down in the dumps and the only enemy you really have is your own fatigue and anxiety, he'll be sure to massage your back or scalp, giving you the full spa treatment until you feel refreshed and rejuvenated.. In truth, he loves making you feel relaxed and loved, it's one of his favorite pastimes.
Jazz isn't the biggest cuddle bot, but he adores it when he's in the mood! He usually doesn't wanna push you though, he always feels so weird and dorky randomly coming up to you and asking for attention, so you're most always, minus a handful of times, the one to initiate it. Pressing your palm against his leg or knee is all you need to do to get his attention, within an instant, he'll pluck you up and snuggle you against his chassis, that way he can feel truly close to you. However, if he does happen to initiate it, he usually does so not by words, not by subtle signaling, but by slowly inching closer and closer to you until his helm's practically in your lap, only then does he plop down and coil himself around you protectively like a dragon hoarding treasure. Even if he isn't in the mood for the whole snuggle shabang, he'll compromise by settling you in his lap so you can be close anyway. And of you're not in the mood, that's fine too! He'll just sit nearby as to not overwhelm or crowd you, but close enough to where he's there if you wanna talk about anything or engage with him. He'll even whip out his datapad and read up on some mission stuff or some new music industry drama so you don't feel pressured.
He doesn't really have a favorite snuggle position, so long as you're pressed at least semi-near his spark in some way, he's fine. But if you choose one where you're not, he'll riot by pulling you against it with a huff before whining on and on all theatrical like about it.
"What? You're givin' me the cold shoulder now, baby? And I thought we were inseparable; shows what I know. -Short, exasperated sigh- Gotta be careful with hotties like you, stealin' hearts only to throw them out later... Such woe for a poor, old bot like me... so charming and handsome.. and talented.. who loves so VERY deeply... Gonna get my spark broke by a maneater. -Tisk- What's even worse is that I'll probably like it."
Most of his downtime goes towards helping out people around the base with things like chippin' in by carrying some random stuff for someone or tinkering with electronics, but more often than not, his time goes towards basic repair stuff, like fixing a broken gun trigger or buffing out a dent that someone accidentally slammed into a console during a scuffle. However, when he can, he dedicates the other half to you, even if he does have to read up on some 'super secret spy files' while he does so. Actually? That's just fine with him, he's a great multitasker, and he's found that he retains more and can focus better with you by his side, anyway. But on a normal evening with no business whatsoever, he always has a few ideas as for what to do, like a movie night cuddle sesh or a night on the town just seein' the sights, but if you have an idea you'd like to throw in there, he's more than willing to try anything as long as you're by his side. But he must say... he does love a good drive with you tucked all nice and snug in his backseat stargazin' through his windows, you look so beautiful in the starlight. And if neither of you have much time and have things you have to do while you hang out, that's perfectly manageable in his opinion! He'll snuggle up right next to you, holding you close to him as you two work on whatever it is you're both up to.
Little tokens of affection for Jazz are some of the sweetest things in the entire world, the man's made of sugar and clouds wrapped in a tough metaly armor. Like if he notices you're tired and feeling rough around the edges lately, he'll go out of his way to either give you an entire spa day (or at least for as long as he can before he's called to help with something) complete with scalp, back and foot massage, plus anywhere you're sore at, a nice, bubbly bath with your favorite scents, accessories, and flower petals, a warmed towel to dry you off with, and a nice toasty cuddle. Or he'll do something fun and personal that you absolutely adore doing, whatever it is, no matter how strange, he'll do it. Any weird hobby, any oddly specific location you like to go to occasionally, or any activity you've been wanting to do is up for grabs whenever you feel upset. He also loves to make a nice, pipin' hot cups of tea for you constantly, he loves the fact herbal teas are healthy, but also delicious, it makes him feel useful both towards your actual physical health and your happiness.
If he ever gets fussy or mad at you, it will be the most blatant thing ever imaginable because he's a huge fan of 'the silent treatment'. If you come to talk to him, he won't look away from you or pretend like you aren't there like some other bots would, he won't even try to run away from you or yell at you, he'll just simply sit there silently with his arms crossed, staring at you unamusedly, listening to whatever it is you're yammering on about because at the end of the day, he's still endlessly devoted to you and respects you enough to listen (and is genuinely curious to know what you're saying, if he's being honest). If he's mad because it's something you did, all you really have to do is sincerely apologize and he'll be your lapbot once again. But if it had nothing to do with you, all you gotta do is reassure him and give him a nice shoulder rub, he'll melt like chocolate in 100 degree heat in your hands, he'll be back to his nonchalant, sugary sweet self in no time! But if he did something wrong to make you mad, he always realizes immediately afterward and will profusely apologize for up to days after (sometimes even weeks). Of course, you always forgive him practically right away, he's just too loving to ever be truly livid with for long, but he stays mad at himself for weeks (sometimes up to months, it depends on what kind of stupid thing he said to piss you off.. Which is always what he does, by the way, he's bad about taking a joke slightly too far, but he's gotten better about it). If you're mad for no reason, then he'll just pepper your face with kisses and nuzzle his cheek and nose against you until you're forced to fall for his charm and feel better. It's a tale old as time and works every time.
Jazz just isn't very jealous, you would think he is, but he isn't. He's confident about the strength of your bond and how unwavering your love is for each other.
Being protective, however, is a whole different story entirely. Jazz isn't possessive, that just isn't really his style, you can do whatever you please so long as you're happy and still his, he trusts you... But other people..? He doesn't trust them. If people are in a room with you he remains vigilant, wary of their movements and words towards you or about you. Some bots he doesn't worry about, the obvious ones like Optimus, Ironhide, Ratchet, Bumblebee, and Cliffjumper.. But everyone else? Nah. They can piss off.
You're sad? ...Why come? He'll sit there acting as a soothing anchor amidst the sea storm of your swirling emotions, gently cradling your form with his hand pressed flush against your back as he listens attentively to you speak. If someone caused it, don't worry, he'll handle it. And know that he doesn't need violence to do so, he'll talk about it with them like an adult.. then mildly threaten them just a bit, so subtly that someone that's not very keen might even miss it. If it was nothing in particular that caused your sadness, then he'll chipperly comfort you and tell you some good news he heard on the TV to maybe cheer you up a bit. If that doesn't work, then how about a nice drive with some tunes, hm? That always cheers him up.
Oh Primus, you're sick? He takes you straight to Ratchet and helps nurse you back to full health alongside him, you're healthy in no time. He does everything by the book, lots of fluids, warm, hearty soups, nice heated blankets, fluffing your pillow every once in a while, he's actually very attentive. He's not the most comfortable with these types of situations, it's obvious he's deeply concerned for you even after Ratchet made it more than clear that you're going to make a full recovery, but nevertheless, Jazz, ever the optimist, always makes sure to lighten the mood by doing something small that you wanna do that can be done in bed and cracking a few jokes here and there.
i low key hate his original toy design , and i hate his Retro G1-Inspired design even more, but it’s more fun to transform then the studio series wheelieso whateverrrrr so I don’t know if anyone else had this problem with the studio series version, but all of the joints became loose and floppy , 
I love G1 transformers so much, but I have such a hard time rewatching it. Not because of the animation errors or pacing, nah. It just knocks me tf out 😭
Maybe it’s because of the association with watching it on an old CRT as a kid and it being a comforting show I’d fall asleep to on the living room couch
