please can i hear about phelinx and szayel i want to hear the LORE between them
Oh boy I have so much lore for these bitches hold on let me try and give you an abridged version.
Phelinx was a Vasto Lorde as a Hollow, but he was a runt and his power was a little too much for his body so he would rampage and it caused complications resulting in him cracking a horn off of his mask. In an attempt to relinquish himself of some of this power and revert to an Adjuchas state, he sought out the only other Vasto Lorde who had regressed to a weaker state: Szayel.
Phelinx made a deal with Szayel that he would be his assistant and let him use him for any experiments necessary so long as Szayel helped him find a way to become weaker. These two worked together for quite some time until Szayel was accepted back into the Espada as Number 8, where he asked Aizen to turn Phelinx into an Arrancar so he could have him as a Fraccion.
This is like, the basic background to their meeting and the forming of their relationship a LOT changes as time goes on and theres a lot of weird canon bending and general fuckery on my end to make Phelinx as weird as possible and the relationship goes from “mutual agreement built on selfish desires” to “idk i guess we genuinely care about each other”
