matthew vaughn cut out the famous breakfast scene from the first film, in fear that it heavily implied eggsy and harry had sex the night before and being a coward, pulled a big “no homo tho” (but it was too late bc harry’s “popping one’s cherry” line and eggsy’s facial expressions and body motions around harry AND “I RATHER BE WITH HARRY, THANKS.”)

but then adds a piece of that scene back in the sequel anyway, hoping it would come off as “son missing his father” type of shit, but really, it just made it even more gay because of taron’s acting choices, eggsy looks like he’s remembering the death of his ex that he really loved and still isn’t over. and thEN eggsy has the line “you know, you may as well have me stuck up on this wall. 'cause you're never gonna find a butterfly more interesting than me.” to harry. LIKE???

what is going on here. just them fuck, god.

gothie i love you, i do, but can i ask what your deal is with movies straying from one specific comic run? like, it seems like every now and then you decide to rant about how this comic/movie is wrong because /that/ movie/comic did something different. which like, it’s your blog obvi you’re allowed to have opinions and talk about them! i’m just kinda confused by why you feel that way i guess.

are u talking about me sometimes ranting about mcu or…?

bc idk, sometimes i got thoughts about comic books and their movie-counterparts. i’m not that big of a fan of the mcu bc sometimes i don’t like how they change a certain character or how the story is. i don’t care about the thanos plot too much, and i always thought doing a two-hour movie based on “civil war” wasn’t that much of a good idea. (i only like, a few mcu films anyway.)

i read most of the comics too. i’m not that hardcore about it bc

1) i don’t really live nearby a comic store and 2) getting into comics anyway is like, homework.

that’s why i mostly end up looking up online about certain comic runs, and if i think it’s interesting enough, then i go and order those volume versions bc i think it’s more easier lol

also because  sometimes one comic book movie did something right that another failed to do.  it just be like that sometimes

it’s 2019 so y’all are gonna be hearing about my stupid vague comic book/comic book movie opinions lol

at the end of “kingsman: the secret service”, eggsy asks his mom to come live with him in the new house he has. (harry’s old house).

so. “kingsman: the golden circle” should’ve been about his family tbh. eggsy being worried about the safety of his mother and little sister. look, i like what a sweet boyfriend eggsy is, but 50% of the time it was eggsy being all “my girlfriend! my girlfriend! my girlfriend!” during the movie and, no mention of his mother or his sister?

the mother he loves, sworn to look after, and was straight up ready to beat down his step-dad when he found out he hit her?

i mean, we do see her in the end of the film. but it was just her. no baby sister. (i really think they forgot eggsy has a little sister.)

so, a more nicer scenario would be eggsy’s mother and sister living with him. eggsy’s mom is packing up for a trip to visit her sister. eggsy obviously can’t come along but he wishes his mother and sister a safe trip. daisy insists on taking j.b. with them. eggsy lets her, telling j.b. to be on his best behavior. (this way no one fucking dies when that house explodes)

characters i want to stay alive in “kingsman: the golden circle”:

harry: don’t bring a man back from the dead just to kill him again. that’s just cruel.

merlin: for tHE LOVE OF GOD, DON’T HURT HIM.

roxy: if she gets the axe, i’m grabbing an axe and knocking on death’s door to bring her back. SHE’S LANCELOT FOR A REASON.

tilde: as much as i ain’t down with the whole, “eggsy and tilde are dating” story arc they’re doing, i don’t want her dying in some over-the-top dramatics as well. as some “more angst for eggsy” kind of crap.

michelle and eggsy’s little sister: they could be in possible danger, if eggsy’s house was targeted. i mean, poor eggsy’s baby sister almost died in the first film. stop putting eggsy’s family into so much drama.

any of the statesman: unless we get some “plot twist” and it turns out one of them was working for poppy or some crap. don’t hurt these guys. and don’t hurt ginger. especially ginger.

j.b.: if this fucking dog dies, i’m rioting. he was a very important plot point in the first film, it would be insulting to kill him off.

Ahh, I just saw your feral talk about Sidon or Link and ugh. Just imagining a more feral Link sounds fun >3 Especially if mr. Fish Prince has to bring out a lil of his bad boy self to appeal to the wild man.

ah well, ya know

it’s more in a sense that link is literally roughing it out in the wild. of course sidon has been outside zora’s domain before, it’s how you meet him in the game as he’s looking for any potential hylian to help with vah ruta. so, sidon’s not that sheltered.

but unlike sidon, link can be pretty rude to others in the game, if you pay attention to the optional dialogue you can choose whenever link is talking to someone. for example, when you meet the old man for the first time, and link just straight up steals his apples without asking. and then later, demanding for the glider from the old man.

when i say feral, i do mean link not having a problem with some bloodshed and hunting. link can be sweet and gentle too. i love how he interacts with the children of hyrule. from any race; zora, goron, rito, or gerudo.

okay, i got more thoughts about tgc, so more spoilers

when whiskey had eggsy and harry at gunpoint and rope-point, i really was expecting for ginger to come in and knock him out.

because of how she mentioned to merlin earlier that she wants to be a field agent but whiskey always voted against her and when whiskey recovered from his headshot and ginger had to use the photo of his deceased wife for him to recover his memories, whiskey tells her that harry shot him. and she asks why and whiskey hesitates before snarling to her it’s her fault harry’s still “not right”, and you can tell she’s suspicious of him.

you can’t tell me that would’ve been a crowning moment for ginger.

like, that fight scene was still good, but i was so disappointed at whiskey’s betrayal and then death.

my mind is still on the whole “eggsy and tilde are dating and living together” thing for kingsman 2. which still makes me go “there’s no point in that but okay...”

like, on one hand, i guess it’s nice that it’s like, eggsy goes from this small petty thief to now dating a princess. but on the other hand, bc of how they “met” in the first film, i don’t blame people having a bad taste in their mouth about all this.

like, is this what they think a “meet cute” is? “i met my girlfriend after basically blowing a million heads up, poisoning a deadly assassin and stabbing the man that killed the only person who ever believed in me and then i had anal sex with her because she promised me we would if i freed her from her prison cell and i was on such an adrenaline high that i agreed.”

like, the director cut out that breakfast scene between harry and eggsy in the first film, which would’ve been lovely if he kept it in anyway because it really could’ve impact more to harry’s and eggsy’s relationship and why the fight between the two after the dog test hurts way more, because he was literally worried it looked “too gay”. but kept in that really, really, really unnecessary sex scene between eggsy and tilde at the end because...jokes, i guess? and now he wants me to be okay with the fact they are in a relationship for the second film? (idk if i should be too surprised. i was talking to someone else about this, but this guy also directed the first “kickass” movie and god, the forced romance relationship between kickass and the girl he has a crush on was so gross. and uncomfortable. so i’m a little worried it’s gonna be the same between eggsy and tilde...)

i also don’t want anything bad to happen to tilde. the house fucking explodes. i hope she wasn’t in it. (and jb, i s2g if anything bad happens to that dog...)

idk, i just think we fans are gonna have to stomach through this because i doubt she’ll be in the majority of the film anyway. plus, ya know, fanfics do fix canon. i trust some of you talented writers can fix this lol.
