I was actually wondering. where did you hear/read the term "tethered"

I got it from an interview with Jordan Peele! Hold on lemme see if i can find it yeah okay here we go so he was talking to Entertainment Weekly and he said

“We’re our own worst enemy, and that idea created this monster, The Tethered. I wanted to forge this new mythology that explored our duality and the duality of the characters. I think what was a fun challenge for actors, was finding the connections between the characters and their counterparts.”

OH SHITTTTT, I was wondering who that random kid was, but that makes sense. she is also wearing a Thriller shirt. maybe that was the 80s!!!!!!

Oh yeah so she is good catch! Looks like the same beach the family goes to in the present so if something had happened to there before....well first it makes you wonder why she’d wanna come back at all ever but it would also explain why she freaks the living fuck out when Jason wanders off i feel like more than a normal parent would about losing sight of a kid his age at a beach during the day
