Her small party got over the wall at a different point then a few other scouting parties. Mance’s idea was a pretty good one; flank the crows on both sides, it all depended on if Ygritte’s crow didn’t get cold feet and run to warn them. She had allowed her men to rest for a day before heading east towards Castle Black even though the country side here made a tempting raiding spot for a while. Mance was depending on her on them to make it to Castle Black on time, so that meant raiding to restore supplies only and not for the fun of it.
She had gone ahead of them to scout out the land that they had to cross. She was a good mile away from camp when she noticed the famous Nightfort, even knowing what when on their ages ago, it would still make a good resting area for her party. She heard a sound and glanced around. She was pretty sure that no one had followed her from camp. she grabbed her spear and kept her eyes peeled. “If you don’t want to get speared, I suggest that you show yourself.”

Bethany had been too involved in her game of chess with her brother, Alyn. He was her older brother by a few years and she had barely seen him since the war of five kings or with his tour around the land.
