saw backrooms... as a gsgw fan i enjoyed it🫣... rly felt like one of the gsgw ghost stories brought to life hehe... looky mart vibes.. the atmospheric parts were my fav!! i liked the sets, music, & cinematography a lot..
#im a coward like soleum so i cant watch like 99% of horror movies but i enjoyed this one...#gore is the worst for me i cant handle it but the gore in this one was not that bad#it's rated R but i rly think thats bc of the language (f word)... it felt more on par w a PG-13 movie#there were several parts where the sound design made it seem like the worst gore in the world was happening#so i looked away but when i looked back i was like ? oh? huh? okay#and my sibling who didnt look away told me that there was no actual gore happening MFNDN it was just the sound#anyway#i think its not as bad as typical horror movies so its a good horror movie to for scaredy cat gsgw otakus(me)!!#talk tag#backrooms#the entire time i was like omg this id totally a ghost story that would be on the wiki mdnfcm#i would watch a sequel... honestly just for the sets#that was the highlight for me#its awesome...#gotta love liminal spaces...#i want to see even more sets... infinite possibilities...#o and also a thing i rly appreciated was how analog it is... like all the sets were real and i could tell the costumes were real too#i normally only watch animated movies but for the few live action movies ive seen and enjoyed..-#i rly prefer the ones that use analog effects to the fullest...#that was smth i appreciated in wicked(the cgi parts looked the worst) and project hail mary#and it makes such a diff compared to the cgi and greenscreen overuse in marvelslop films for ex#theres just an undeniable charm from analog filmmaking...#so ya i enjoyed the sets a lot :)#(wicked project hail mary and backrooms r like the only live action movies ive seen in recent yrs hence the ment lol)#(but that was a common pt btwn all 3 that i rly enjoyed!!)
