A Still Life

Got bored and decided to do some still life since it's been a really long time. I painted this with gouache in the paperbag sketchbook I bookbinded myself!

I don't know why the white paint on the vase is coming off as pink here, but it is what it is 🫠

I was honestly having a hard time getting myself to sit and continue my work even though it was frustrating me. I wanted to stop so badly but I kept going because I want to build my tolerance and patience for art again. I realized my art block is most likely stemming from having no goals anymore and also a lack of patience and tolerance for things that frustrated/ stressed me out. Considering I've had so much stress in my life, it's no wonder I couldn't tolerate more! Hopefully this is a slow and gentle transition into doing art and loving art again ♥️
