Goulphar - the monumental lighthouse on Belle-Île-en-Mer was constucted in 1836. It stands 52m tall and from its observation deck you can see most of the island. If you walk out along the cliffs and look back to land, the lighthouse appears to be standing above a crevasse in the cliff face.
