Working together with Bermondsey BID and Pexmas, Gourmandizing was commissioned to produce a series of murals in and around The Blue in South Bermondsey, featuring food stories and recipes collected from the community. During the early 2016, recipes, stories and inspiration for the final artworks were gathered through various workshops, held in locations around the Blue.
Toucan Signs were hired to work alongside Matthew McGuinness and Jason Page of Gourmandizing, to paint the chosen recipes on specific sites around Drummond Road, John Bull Arch, The Blue and New Rotherhithe Arch. Working throughout April, we completed these five recipes just in time for the Larder of London event on 30th April, featuring face painting, food, stories and walking tours.
