This is me. This is me being that fat girl who "shouldn't wear bikinis." This is me being that fat girl who "shouldn't be seen in public like this." This is me being strong and proud. This is me feeling confident. This is me being playful. This is me being active. This is me owning my body. This is me playing fetch with my dog. This is me hanging out at the lake in a bikini with my friend on a warm day. This is me without a second thought. This is me in the throes of a Friday evening when the sun is still hanging in the air and the park we're at has definite lake stank. This is me being seen, being visible, being unhidden, being normalized. I was really happy in these photos.
