Stuck inside grabcar in the middle of a heavy rain
Dear LTFRB,
Regarding Grab and Uber.
To be as safe as other public means of transportations like buses, jeepneys and taxis? Are you guys disassociated with the realities of PH commuting and how "safe" commuting in this country is? I do not mean to generalize but seriously, if you have been a commuter since you were 6 years old, if you have been commuting for 17 years now or more, you would have known how relatively safe Grab and Uber are compared to the other public means of transportation.
To be honest, this is not an affective way to regulate. You are just reducing the options that people have. You are just bringing the people back to the fucked up transportation system in this country that we have grown tired of, the reason why we welcomed Grab and Uber. You are not creating solutions.
You wanted Uber and Grab drivers to have certifications, but you are not releasing those certs anymore. No matter how these drivers want to comply with your regulations, you are just freaking neglecting them of the chance to comply. Why don't you start releasing those certs? Why don't you give the drivers a proper lead time?
Is it so hard to care more for the people's interest and the progress of this country rather than our own "personal interests and biases?"
Or let's go back - para kaninong kaligtasan? para kaninong regulasyon?
