So, one day we were super late for church and there were no parking spots left. We decided to head over to another Calvary Chapel only a few miles away from our home church and made it to that service with plenty of time to spare. Everything happens for a reason right? That's what I always think.
The church we were visiting was offering a class based on the book, Grace Based Parenting by Dr. Tim Kimmel.
I was intrigued. My daughter, whom I will refer to as "cupcake," is almost two years old and "terrible twos" occasionally surface. She's a strong-willed child, very energetic, and it's been really difficult to maintain my composure when she refuses to cooperate. So the title Grace Based Parenting totally appealed to me. There are a lot of things I need to work on as an individual and I'm excited to learn what to do as a parent to enable my daughter to become "spiritually strong [...] with a sense of calm and a heart full of purpose and confidence."
The first class is tonight. I signed up on the last day the registrar was open so I'm hoping there were no mistakes and we're definitely on the list. No childcare is available :( so my parents are gladly babysitting tonight.
