Grace of Generosity P1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 | Timothy J. Keller [Luke 18:18-30]
When you get near the end of the calendar year your
thoughts turn to giving do they not? [1:39]
Because not only is it a time for gift-giving, Christmas
buying, & generosity, & receiving gifts, but it's also at
the time of the year in which there are many appeals
for good causes.
Appeals to please give including to the congregation,
the Church that you go to; and therefore we thought
it was a very appropriate at the very end of the year
to spend a couple of weeks looking at what the Bible
says in general about money, possessions, giving, &
generosity.
The Gospel changes the way in which we a look at our
money, our possessions—it radically changes us so we
should, if we understand the Gospel.
We should have a radically different attitude toward
& relationship to our money, our possessions—at the
very least, different than the one our culture sets as
the social norm.
