The movie is about a 18 year old christian singer named Grace. She sings every week in their church with her father John, who is the church worship leader. Grace was given a record deal opportunity by his father’s former manager. Grace leaves Los Angeles to grab the deal without a warning. She walk away from her Christian faith and music to achieve her Hollywood dream career. After watching the movie, I have up with some lessons I have learned after watching it.
1. We should not disobey our parents - In the movie, Grace always fight with her father John because of her being too pushy. She had been disobedient in many ways; like when she didn’t follow what her parents told her to do, when she leaves home and go to Los Angeles without any warning. The movie shows us that we should not disobey our parents because they know what are and aren’t right us. Even though sometimes we tend to think that are parents are being too strict and thinking that they are robing us freedom and happiness. But what we don’t know is they are only doing it for our own sake because because they just want what is right and best for us. And for it is written
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.”- Ephesians 6:1
2. Using our God given talent for His Glory- Grace wants a spotlight, she wants to use her amazing talent to blow people away with her singing instead of using her voice to glorify God and do what is pleasing to God. She used her talent as a stepping stone to fame but as christian we should remember that we are not here to be desire earthly things. This earth is just our training ground in preparation for heaven. We are just passing through Earth, Heaven is our home. Whatever our talent, God is behind it. God wants us to use these gifts to glorify Him!

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” - Colossians 3:23-24
3. We cannot run away from God- No matter how far we try to run away from God the more He makes us feel His love for us. Grace leave Los Angeles and went back home. She first go to the church to ask forgiveness to everyone she caused pain and offered a song to God. ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO TO MAKE GOD LOVE US LESS
If I’ll rate this movie, I will give it a 7/10. You should see the movie for yourself. God bless!
