I have to do this alone. I’m sorry. I know how badly you feel like you need to stay with me, but I need to keep you safe. I wish I could have seen you off and kissed you goodbye, but I know you wouldn’t have let me leave. I want to promise you that I’ll be back but I won’t lie to you. I don’t know if I’ll survive. But this is what I have to do, I have to avenge their deaths. I know you understand. You’ve always understood me. I’ll do everything I can to come home to you. But if I don’t, I swear I’ll find you in the afterlife.

“drop your weapon!  put your hands where i can see them, now!”  gun rose with her finger lightly pressed to the trigger in preparation in case there ended up being a gun fight.  shootouts weren’t her favorite thing to deal with but, sometimes they were inevitable.  claire waited for him to comply, telling herself that if he didn’t she may have to fire a warning shot - which could lead to a shootout.  “don’t make this harder than it has to be.”

📖 - Do you have any drabbles you’re working on?

       [[ I do actually. I’m working on two drabbles, one for @bobabounty and one for @kylo-wrecked . Not done yet! But I’ve had two things in mind I just wanted to write for them. I write these with the mind that they don’t have to be responded to, but they can be if they’d like to! I just wanted to write them because my muse demanded it of me. I actually have a drabble in mind for your Ben too!! ]]

though the flight was long, she acted excited the whole way through.  she acted as though she’d never been on a plane before, constantly looking out of the window to the earth below.  seeing the passing lands and water, and eventually as the plane began it’s descent, beaming down at the passing cars and people who looked more like ants than anything else.  every so often she turned to look at ben, who sat by her side; she’d take his hand in hers, give his hand a gentle squeeze, kiss his cheek at random points throughout the flight and ( only once! ) had taken a small nap, resting her head upon his shoulder.  and from the moment they stepped off of the plane, after getting their luggage, she felt whole.  she could practically smell freshly baked baguettes in the air as they strolled through the streets nearby the airport, hand in ben’s again. 

as she followed him through the door to their hotel room, rapunzel dropped her bags and walked straight toward the window that overlooked the city.  “this has got to be the most beautiful view i’ve ever seen,” she spoke in awe, eyes looking over the city as though it was the one thing that brought that look of fondness to her hues.  lightly, she peered over her shoulder to look at ben, pink lips still in a smile.  “i didn’t expect it to be this beautiful in person.”

——— adam frowns. when he had pulled the other prince to the side of the ballroom, he hadn’t quite planned on how he would answer whatever questions he’s presented with. truth be told, adam just wants a FRIEND ; someone to talk to that he knows, since everyone else at this ball of ben’s parents’ is UNFAMILIAR to him ; but the prince, forever proud and haughty, does not know how to express this. does not know how to show weakness in this manner. it’s foreign and unfamiliar to him. so, instead of admitting to this urge, the true reason for beckoning ben over to the outskirts, he merely says,  “ i was... just wondering if you had any opinions on whom i should dance with. ”  a LIE. a bold-faced lie, but it’s all he could muster up.
