Marluxia--Graceful Assassin

A favorite, not going to lie. Looking into various cultural influences has given me an even more fond appraisal of the symbolism and aesthetics of Marluxia, despite Nomura's characterization of him seemingly... either ignoring these or invoking them in the usual simplified, blunted, black vs. white unsubtle yet overcomplex chicanery. Ah well. The whole life/death cherry blossom thing and profound themes of dual forces in mortality and character would probably help divert the "darkness bad; shiny gud" guff they kept pushing in spite of its shallowness and contradictions in-universe too much! This makes Marluxia basically the only Nomura character with plant or cherry blossom themes of aesthetics who isn't plunked into a default "good guy/girl" role. I tend to write him as a 85-95% good fella anyways in spite of the various hard 90-degrees decisions he's involved with in-canon things later. And so of course I'm going to show Marluxia chillin' in a garden-y scene. ^u^ The flowers and plants are very specifically chosen. Wonder who they're for? Welp, they might just be for him because yay Marluxia like flowers. XD But they could be intended for someone else.
