Oh! I haven’t covered God labeling Sam and Dean the heroes who saved the world with no mention of Cas before he disappeared. “The world has you and Sam” but no acknowledgement of Cas and his efforts and the sacrifices he has made to help save the world multiple times. :-)

Another sore point for me with this episode was that Cas didn’t get to talk to God at all? It didn’t make sense for Cas not to have more of a reaction to being in the presence of his Father after having searched for him and struggled with his faith for so long. It’s such a core part of Cas’ character, so to have it ignored was frustrating, especially given that both Metatron and Lucifer both were allowed to have closure with God. The one character who needed emotional catharsis the most, the one who deserved it the most, was the one not allowed to have it.

Cas’ whole depression/ptsd really ended up going nowhere. The show made it very clear why Cas had said yes to being Lucifer’s vessel, all that build up then nothing. That story arc just literally just disappeared into thin air. Cas comes back this episode miraculously “fixed” because it’s convenient for the plot. I don’t even know what to say.
