Do you know how the characters cast Cryas Artes in Tales of Graces? It seems like each game has a some kind of requirement or something to cast magic or at least the equivalent to magic that is connected to how their world works yet I can't quite remember how they do it in tales of Graces.
From @guardianoftime : “ In Graces the primary force behind their artes is Eleth. Cryas are crystalized Eleth and act as containers for one of the 3 specific elements of Eleth. All party members who utilize Cryas Artes cast them by channeling the Eleth stored in the Cryas within their weapons. For example, Pascal’s shotstaff has a green/wind cryas stored in it, thus allowing her to use wind Cryas Artes when she initially joins the party. Later she gains artes of the other elements and is able to use those without the respective cryas mainly due to the fact she’s Amarcian and the contracts she makes with the Eleth Spirits to gain her MAs.
Incidentally, there’s a huge difference in Malik’s Cryas Artes from the ones that Pascal casts. Malik’s all involve manipulation of Eleth that would, presumably, already be available in the environment. Pascal’s Cryas Artes, on the other hand, often involve her conjuring up pure Eleth elements seemingly from nowhere.
Cheria’s Cryas Artes are a special case because AFAIK she doesn’t have or use a cryas to channel her artes. But, she has her artes due to Sophie’s light that saved her as a child, which is probably also why many of her Cryas Artes are light based (and obviously healing based).“
