I think people need to understand that FF7 and KH exist in different continuities/universes. The writers of KH story aren't obliged to 100% follow everything from the FF7 universe.

Do you know how the characters cast Cryas Artes in Tales of Graces? It seems like each game has a some kind of requirement or something to cast magic or at least the equivalent to magic that is connected to how their world works yet I can't quite remember how they do it in tales of Graces.

From @guardianoftime : “ In Graces the primary force behind their artes is Eleth. Cryas are crystalized Eleth and act as containers for one of the 3 specific elements of Eleth. All party members who utilize Cryas Artes cast them by channeling the Eleth stored in the Cryas within their weapons. For example, Pascal’s shotstaff has a green/wind cryas stored in it, thus allowing her to use wind Cryas Artes when she initially joins the party. Later she gains artes of the other elements and is able to use those without the respective cryas mainly due to the fact she’s Amarcian and the contracts she makes with the Eleth Spirits to gain her MAs.

Incidentally, there’s a huge difference in Malik’s Cryas Artes from the ones that Pascal casts. Malik’s all involve manipulation of Eleth that would, presumably, already be available in the environment. Pascal’s Cryas Artes, on the other hand, often involve her conjuring up pure Eleth elements seemingly from nowhere.

Cheria’s Cryas Artes are a special case because AFAIK she doesn’t have or use a cryas to channel her artes. But, she has her artes due to Sophie’s light that saved her as a child, which is probably also why many of her Cryas Artes are light based (and obviously healing based).“

Do you know what Lambda from Tales of Graces exactly is? Is he some intelligent energy being or is a special humanoid like Sophie? Because people are saying different things about Lambda's nature and I am getting confused about what he is exactly.

Texa here! Sorry for the delays to replies I’ve fallen in a ditch called ff 14 and I can’t find my way out often.

I forwarded this to @guardianoftime and she says “He’s a being born in Fodra’s core which puts him on the same level of existence as Little Queen and Fodra Queen. He confirms that he’s a “core being” in a line of dialogue from the F-Arc where he says to Asbel “I, too, was born in Fodra’s core.”

And while the game doesn’t explicitly confirm or deny this, I always assert that he’s specifically a Sigma, which are monsters you find ONLY in the Lastalia Shaft on Fodra in the F-Arc who share the same monster model as Lambda with the same yellow and pink color scheme that Lambda’s smaller ball form now displays in the F-Arc. Some people might write that off as typical Namco laziness and sure, that could be part of it, but the fact they used a boss model…..as a regular enemy model…….and coordinated those colors…..very deliberately…..I mean that’s a little too coincidental to be just a factor of laziness, so.

But while I do always assert that he’s a Sigma I just want to be clear the game itself doesn’t actually tell you that, it’s one of those things left to player observation. The only thing the game does actually tell you about Lambda is that he’s a being from Fodra’s core who was found when Cornell and Emeraude were doing research on the core.“
