LMMYAM 2: Pope adopts Roonie and raises her to control her own destiny. He trains her to be a brooding off-grid assassin. She's a natural and lands contracts quickly, even as a child. But they continue to work alone, as brooding off-grid assassins do. That is, until they're intentionally handed opposing assignments and agree to them without knowing that they will be pitted against one another. When they realize the truth mid-firefight, Pope expects her to take him out and replace him. Instead she channels her rage into protecting the man who made her more than a frightened victim. Her bloody rampage leads her to discover that they were set up by the same people who thought they'd gotten rid of her before... and who foolishly continue to underestimate her.
