In case there was any doubt about how on-brand my research path is going to be, I just got a list of suggested paper topics for one of my seminars and I’m DEFINITELY going to call dibs on spiritualism, the occult, and seances
photo dump update; have been liking making a point of uploading pictures from my day to day life here. it makes me reflective and grateful of the little things i enjoy on a day to day basis. and, honestly the changing of the seasons has been trying my mental health as of late and i often find myself in a bit of a brain fog, so i like documenting stuff to force myself to be grounded in my life. ANYWAYS.
been enjoying the weather of late and have gone on several hikes in the past couple weeks. i also have been pretty good about getting back on my gym routine. most notably: i started volunteering at a co-working space two days a week. i’m an ~*~energy exchanger~*~, meaning i perform basic administrative and space-maintenance tasks in exchange for full membership/access to the space which has been great at prompting me to do work because i have no other option when i am sitting behind a desk for 4 hours. having a bit of an anxious day here, hoping once i’m done my energy exchange shift a walk home in the sun will help me shake this weird energy.
I’ve spent the past hour or so reading up on grad study at Cambridge and I’m feeling so simultaneously excited and terrified to apply, which I’m figuring is a good thing because I haven’t felt this exact combination of emotion since applying for my undergrad degree
