Graeme Wilson was born in Yorkshire. He attended Leeds College of Art where gained a first class honours degree in Graphics Design and won a scholarship to study Graphics in Switzerland. He was Art Editor of various magazines London before starting his own design consultancy in Covent Garden. GWA design He had many notable design commissions including programmes and merchandising for Pavarotti and The 3 Tenors, publicity and logos for Tennis events and jazz festivals. He was passionate about jazz and played in a band whilst at Art College. He designed a brochure and publicity for the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards 25th anniversary was was lucky enough to be invited to a reception at Buckingham Palace with the Duke and Prince Charles. He also worked for the Friends of Imperial College and designed the Heraldic Shield and Crest for the City & Guilds and Age Concern.. Also designs for The Whiskey Association which he liked and many, many other organizations. His most notable design achievement is a memorial for the British Antarctic Trust In the crypt of St Paul’s cathedral. It commemorates all the British scientists who lost their lives in Antarctica in pursuit of science. It was dedicated by the Dean and the Bishop of London in 2011 Also a plinth outside the Scott Polar Research Institute, Cambridge University and the Waterfront , Stanley, Falkland Island. www.antartic-monument.org He was also a brilliant artist using watercolour, oils and mixed media. and had many exhibitions over the years. www graeme wilson.com He worked on many designs for Holy Trinity Church.
