Repost from @jazzangelslb Even adults are learning how to manage their lives under these current isolation conditions by using inventiveness and creativity that us jazz folks often refer to as “improvisation.” During last rehearsal, The Jazz Angels students learned “The Theme,” a song written and composed by Miles Davis, released in 1956 on Prestige Records. Young musicians are embracing this opportunity to release and/or manage their feelings through improvisation via this bebop tune. This technique of dissolving anxiety by letting go through the language of jazz is a form of music therapy that The Jazz Angels organization teaches its students online, and in due time, offline. #onlinejazzlessons #jazzimprov #bebop #coolschool #youngmusicians #inthistogether #musictherapy https://www.instagram.com/p/B_Y-WHkjpFf/?igshid=zni3mdgef2eu
