Things Left Unsaid-GraiYa
An alternative spin on the Avatar Arc where Braiya is released from prison and goes to Magnolia City and subsequently joins Fairy Tail. She’s then confronted by Gray about what she said during the fight months ago. I’ve wanted to write about them for a while but never had a chance.
“So, how do you like Fairy Tail so far?” Gray asked Briar. As per usual, tables and chairs were flying in the air as a guild brawl was currently taking place. The dark-skinned woman shifted uncomfortably in her seat as she ducked a chair that nearly took her head off.
“Well it’s certainly....um lively,” Briar commented in a slightly awkward manner. “It’s not what I’m used to, to be honest.” A slight grin appeared on Gray’s face just then.
“You’ll get used to it eventually,” Gray said in a lazy manner. “It’s different from Avatar.”
“Yeah,” Briar said softly. During her time in prison, Briar thought about her role in the Zeref debacle and was positively ashamed for her role in it. After getting released, Briar decided to make a fresh start for herself. The first thing she did was head to Magnolia City to Fairy Tail. After practically begging them for their forgiveness for participating in the Zeref scandal, she was surprised to see Natsu laughing it off before throwing an arm on her shoulder and say that bygones were bygones. To her shock, they even invited her to join Fairy Tail. That was a month ago and even now, the Clone mage was still adjusting to the lively life that was Fairy Tail. She even changed outfits. She traded in her strapless bra top and loin cloth for a more modest outfit. She was now wearing a silver elbow-length peasant dress with a black lace up corset along with black ankle flat boots. She kept her hair in the same style though.
“Hey Briar, can I ask you something?” Gray asked seriously. There had been something nagging him at the back of his head for the last few days and hadn’t been able to figure it out until last night.
“Um sure,” Briar said, noting the serious look that suddenly appeared on his face. She then followed Gray to a semi-secluded part of the guild. Briar then got the creepy sensation that someone was watching her and turned to see Juvia glaring at her from behind a pillar.
“Are you going to do something about your stalker?” Briar asked bluntly.
“Damn it. Hold on,” Gray muttered. At that moment a semi-tall wall of ice appeared, blocking anyone from entering.
“That’s better,” Gray said before sitting down a table with Briar sitting across from him.
“So what is it that you wanted to ask me?” Briar asked.
“Did you mean what you said?” Gray asked. “When you said that you were in love with me back at the moment?”
Part 2 will be up sometime tomorrow. I had a lot of fun writing this.
