The World of Tak (Part 3)
Hey guys!
I'm back with the third part of my World of Tak series.
And this time, we'll be looking at one of the other tribes of this world.
And that tribe is The Grammazons!
In The Great Juju Challenge (with their sole representatives Stone Crusher and Thunder Fist), they're depicted as a tribe of fearsome warrior women.
Additionally, despite of how beautiful and youthful they look, they're actually very old and definitely sound the part!
In Nicktoon Heroes, The Grammazons would essentially be the same.
However, there would be a few changes/expansions.
1#) They're an entirely female warrior tribe, with no men or boys in sight.
2#) The Grammazons actually age pretty slowly. Which is way even though when they're elderly, they can still look pretty young. They can even live up to be about 200 years old. Basically, they have that Wolverine shit.
3) They are naturally very tall. Ranging between 7-10 feet tall. They start off normal size when they're born and through most of childhood. But during late puberty, they see major growth spurts! Kinda like the Saiyans. So basically, they're a tribe of tall queens. But even then, they ain't go nothing of them!
4#) Going with their warrior style of life, they're also insanely physically powerful. Almost none of the other tribes can best them in physical prowess or combat prowess. The only expectation is The Black Mist, but even then, they're pretty much evenly matched.
The Grammazon Tribe would be heavily inspired three sets of notable female warriors in mythology.
Those being The Amazons, The Valkyries and The Morrígna (a trio of shapeshifting war goddesses that incited battle fury and hovered over warzones as crows from Celtic folklore).
As a result, their village takes heavily inspiration from the architecture of ancient Greece, Viking-era Scandinavia, and ancient Ireland.
The village is compromised of roundhouses and clocháns, with a massive longhouse that's used for community gatherings and events and an agora that's used for trade.
Additionally, the village is surrounded by a massive ringfort.
The Grammazons predominantly wear chitons either made from linen or animal fur that come in dingy colors.
As for adornments and accessories, they don't have a whole lot.
It's usually either simple sandals (though most of them then to go barefoot), horned helmets, or blue spiraling body tattoos.
As for their way of life, The Grammazons are heavily focused on a warrior life-style, similar to The Spartans.
From childhood, they're trained to fight and survive both potential enemies and the harsh wilderness
They're taught in the ways of combat, hunting, weapon foraging and battle tactics.
Although they do worship the jujus, they're not very shamanism when compared to most of the fellow tribes.
Among their MANY weapons, they possessed all sorts of swords, knives, axes, spears, javelins, bows and arrows, and other projectile based weapons like slings and throwing darts.
When it comes to food, The Grammazons are pretty well-balanced.
They're farmers, foragers, hunters, and fishers.
They grow and forage barley, olives, grapes, legumes, cabbages, onions, berries, hazelnuts, oats, and honey.
As for livestock; they have horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, donkeys and pegasuses.
The Grammazons live in Greenheart Forest (returning from Tak 2: Staff of Dreams), a massive region of temperate woodlands, with tons of meadows, lakes and waterfalls, including Wetstone Lake and Bedlam Falls (also hailing from Tak 2).
The forest is home to various animals (many of which The Grammazons hunt for food, clothing and training) including brown bears, wolves, lynxes, wild boars, deer, wildcats, jackals, red foxes, ibexes, squirrels, martens, chamoises, wild goats, turtles, vipers, salamanders, wolverines, elk, lemmings, beavers, hares, dormice, golden eagles, grouses, ducks, owls, lizards, frogs, newts, toads, mantises, glow-worms, wasps, ants, bees, bark beetles, stoats, badgers, otters, shrews, bats, pike, catfish, perch, trout, and salmon.
As for the unique animals of this region.
From the past; there's terror birds (Gastornis), long-snouted crocodiles (Thoracosaurus), scany flamingos (Scaniornis lundgreni), mini horses (Hyracotherium), pink-faced lemurs (Godinotia), mini marmosets (Teilhardina belgica), ring-tailed deer (Diacodexis), tree cats (Proailurus), sabre-tooth tigers (Machairodus), short giraffes (Samotherium), giant okapis (Helladotherium), horse apes (Ancylotherium), mastodons, monitor lizards (Varanus marathonensis), black geese (Branta thessaliensis), ape people (Graecopithecus), downward tusked elephants (Deinotherium giganteum), hairy rhinos (Stephanorhinus jeanvireti), walking macaques (Paradolichopithecus), short-faced bears (Agriotherium), racoon dogs (Nyctereutes), giant vipers (Laophis crotaloides), giant tortoise (Cheirogaster), gazelles (European gazelles), lyre deer (Croizetoceros ramosus), king elephants (Palaeoloxodon antiquus), hippos (Hippopotamus antiquus), aurochs, cave hyenas, dwarf elephants, dwarf deer, steppe bison, giant elk, lions and leopards.
As for the legendary; there's centaurs, chimeras, dryads, satyrs, empousai, manticores, the lord beasts (legendary giant versions of existing animals in the forest), hulders, trolls, Nøkks, mares (malicious, shapeshifting supernatural entities that sit on people's chests while they sleep to induce suffocating nightmares), wyrms, trechends (three-headed bird-like dragons), werewolves, and púcas (small furry black creatures that can shapeshift and are always out to cause chaos).
Well that's it for now!
But before I go, I'd figured I answered something I'm sure any of you reading this were wondering.
If The Grammazons are all female, how do they continue to live on/reproduce?
Well basically once a year, the members of the tribe that are of age will leave the village to travel the world to look for a male to hook up with up and, ya know.....
After doing the deed, they return home and wait for the next nine months for results.
If the baby is a girl, they keep it.
But if it's a boy, they send it back to their birth father.
Also, I know this is corny, I really want to leave this.
