Looking down at the River Darro. It goes underground near this spot and doesn't reappear until the other side of downtown. Pity. The hill with the palace of Alhambra and the other monuments up there is on the right.

Inside Royal Chapel - Religion is so obviously important to Spanish history. The inside of churches are elaborately decorated, and the best artists were hired to create religious works for the monarchs and nobles.
Granada Cathedral - large and beautiful. There's an El Greco in there, but not a particularly impressive one.

Granada Cathedral of the Incarnation, or the Catedral de Granada, Santa Iglesia Catedral Metropolitana de la Encarnación de Granada is the seat of the Archdiocese of Granada. Like many other cathedrals in Andalusia, it was built on top of the city's main mosque after the reconquest of Granada. It's beautiful, yes, but so much beauty was destroyed needlessly, to make some religious point.
