* grand opening || Ivy, Kyu
she closes her eyes to try and contain some of her building anger at the inanimate object in her hands, tries to gather her wits about her because she’ll be damned if she lets this godforsaken umbrella win. the rain has long come and gone already and she’s been standing in this storefront for all of thirty minutes already, but she is dead set on not going anywhere until this damned thing opened.
once she’s sure she’s pulled herself together again, she tries once more to get the umbrella to open, using as much force as her little body could carry. unfortunately, it seemed inanimate object won again, but this time, ivy pays no mind because in all of her frustration, she’s managed to hit this poor man in the stomach with her umbrella, and she’s really Very Sorry. “oh my god,” she blurts out, dropping the stupid umbrella, which finally opens, to check if the stranger is all right. “are you okay? i’m really sorry the umbrella— it wouldn’t open and i— i’m very sorry…”
Kyuhyun is walking along, minding his own business, nose stuck in his cellphone as he messages stupid, silly things at Minji on his way home from work. It's been a completely dead sort of day, only about 50 customers all day long. Business had been unusually slow lately, but Kyuhyun comforted himself knowing that he got paid for showing up, and that was the important part.
His thoughts came to a scrambling halt when something struck his stomach, hard and pointy, and he doubled over in pain. "Oof!" he shouted, hearing his cellphone skid across the sidewalk. The blow made him lose his balance and his vision for a moment as he stumbled a little. "Holy fucking hell- what the fuck." He glared up at the girl responsible for this. "What the hell were you doing? You could have popped me in the face! It's not even raining anymore!"
