The tentative minuet of youth and courtship; the agonized tango of adult possessiveness and codependency; the confident swing dance of maturity and togetherness; and the assured waltz of longevity and familiarity.

For the shippy ships: stagefright

Oh, Piki / Jack, how I love you, even though, quite frankly, I should be terrified by you, considering how painfully familiar your dynamic is in my life.

This is the ship that made me fall headfirst into Nightmare Dork University, through the back door as it were, via a random story by @emeraldembers called “When Fairy-tales End”.  One of the “final chapter” stories of their relationship, it made me curious enough to seek out all the NDU StageFright beginnings and middles.

I have hopes for Messieurs Black and Sickle to have happy endings together, as I have hopes for a happy ending in my own situation.

I do not have any artistic skill whatsoever, so shall post a photo reference from my Footlights and Frontispieces AU.

In a bit of cross-inspiration, your latest insect people drawings have helped me to come up with the name of the book series that Jack and Seraphina write and draw in the Big Apple Future!StageFright AU. 

It’s called ARTHROPOD ABBEY.

A snippet-idea for a future!NDUStagefright scenario or story series...

Jack and Piki’s granddaughter Zilpha wants to live with them in their townhouse on West 69th Street while she attends NYU for their early medieval and Renaissance music program.

Her mother Emily, a volcanologist, is disappointed that her daughter doesn’t want to follow her in the sciences.

“GrandJack” and “GrandPiki”, on the other hand, are supportive.

Update to the NDU AU that I call “Footlights and Frontispieces”... I am going to rename Jack and Piki’s granddaughter “Zilpha”.  The young lady who inspired the creation of the character loves being Tuckerized, but wants to keep her [rather unique] name separate from fanfiction.
