Ok, so I am really sorry to any extreme Bacchus lovers out there, but i just really feel then need to put this out there.  I am sorry if this post upsets you, and if it does, just send me a message, and if your polite about it, I will never do another character analysis like this again.

Honestly, I hate Bacchus.  I think he is a perverted jerk.  There are two moments I’d like to talk about. 

One is when he fought Elfman.  He made a deal with him that he would get to have a three****(Keepin it PG) with Elfman’s sisters.  People seem to ignore or forget about this because it was such an awesome and defining moment for Elfman.  Also very hilarious because his guild had to be called Quatro Puppy.  But, seriously? That was such a terrible thing to do. He teased someone about how sexy their sisters were and how he wanted to have s** with them.  

Then there was his drinking contest with Cana.  That was what really made me hate him.

OK, i barely even know where to start with this.  

He got a girl drunk, and then proceeded to take her bra.  Without her consent. 

I don’t know why this needs to be explained, it really shouldn’t, but it does.

They both agreed to have a drinking contest and they did.  He won.  That does not make it OK to steal her bra as a prize.  She was drunk and, therefore, could do nothing about it.  He abandoned her there, topless.  This would have been OK had they agreed they could do anything for a prize, or if she had agreed he could take her bra if she lost beforehand, but she did not.  

Once, while I was debating this with a friend, was told, “It’s OK, though.  He was drunk.  He wasn’t  thinking straight.”  Last time I checked, being drunk never makes it OK.  People went on to take this as love.  Him stealing her bra made people ship it.

Also, this whole thing is ignored and skipped over the entire time.  All we get is Macao and Wakaba yelling at him as he walks away and Cana yelling at Elfman to avenge her.  They could have used this as way to teach true lessons.  Like drunk never makes it OK, or consent is always needed before you do something like take a woman’s bra.

I’m really sorry, but I just really felt the need to point this out.  I honestly cannot stand Bacchus or the ship Baccana.  i’m really sorry if I insulted your views, and, again, if I have, politely tell me so, and I will never do it again.
